Skincare Review, B/A Acne Photos: X Out Xtra Clean Facial Cleansing Brush From The Makers Of Proactiv

I have always been skeptical of using skin brush products on my face. Since I suffer from hyperpigmentation, I always thought the brushes would do more harm than good to the skin, making my hyperpigmentation worse. With some thought, I decided I would test the X Out Xtra Clean Brush, by the makers of Proactiv.

I was shocked to see that the bristles on the brush were not regular nylon-like bristles but were a soft silicone. The brush itself is bacteria-resistant and easy to use and store. I decided to use this brush at night before bed and before I used my other acne treatments. The brush gently scrubs away the top layer of the skin, and visibly you can see extra dirt and impurities coming out the skin. I was expecting to see my skin change instantly after rinsing the soap away but I did not. So I went ahead with my normal routine of night cream and acne treatment.

When I woke up in the morning, my skin was glowing. The texture of my skin had definitely improved in just one night. After two weeks of usage, my pores began to shrink and most of my blackheads were either gone or shrinking. My breakouts are not completely gone, but I will continue to use the product to see if the minor breakouts I have will eventually go away. It is important to use the brush once a day as directed to prevent drying and skin being overly brushed. If you do not have the X Out acne face wash, I would recommend using a gentle foaming soap for acne or a cream cleanser. I found both work just as effectively with this product. This product is now a part of my nightly face routine and overall my skin looks much healthier clearer.
