28 Mar Review, Photos, Ingredients, Skincare Trend 2017, 2018: L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Moisturizer, Hydra Genius Extra Dry Skin
L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Moisturizer, $24.99, was designed to target a specific aging concern. As skin matures, its ability to renew surface cells slows down, causing a buildup of dead cells on the surface. As a result, our natural pink tone is hidden and complexion becomes dull, losing the rosy tone of youth. Age Perfect Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Moisturizer is enhanced with pigments to instantly revive skin’s rosy tone. This formula, which contains Imperial Peony and LHA, gently exfoliates dull skin and stimulates surface cell renewal to revive skin’s natural color.
I used this for several days and was immediately taken with the fragrance, which is a delightful mixture of fruity and floral (maybe that peony is kicking in?). And I confess I was a sucker for the color, which is a gorgeous coral hue. The formula is light and absorbs easily and it was a good base for my make up. My skin did look perkier after the application, a change I noticed and appreciated. My only quibble with this product is that it does not contain any SPF, so if you care about using SPF on a daily basis (which I do) you need to use another product to get the coverage.
L’Oreal Hydra Genius Extra Dry Skin, $17.99 is a lightweight liquid care formula promises comfortable application as well as fresh, healthy-looking skin. Part of a unique line of “highly efficacious daily liquid care moisturizers,” this product is formulated to offer lightweight hydration that lasts for 72 hours. According to L’Oreal, these formulas break into water upon contact with skin to deliver instant hydration that glides on easily for quick absorption.
Specifically developed for extra dry skin, this water based moisturizer is formulated with Aloe Water as well as Hyaluronic Acid to provide dual action. Another key ingredient is glycerin.
Since the product can be used day or night, I opted for nighttime use, instead of night creme. I found it rich, soothing and, as promised, superior in terms of absorption. My skin felt dewy and soft in the morning. Once again, another stellar product (at a modest price) from L’Oreal.
