Lancôme calls DreamTone, “the next generation of dark spot correction” and claims that:
• 74% of women tested saw glowing skin immediately
• In 7 days, 70% noticed a more even skintone
• In 4 weeks, 69% saw the appearance of dark spots reduced
• In 8 weeks, 78% saw color imperfections reduced

Each formula targets different types of discoloration and imperfections that show up more prominently on certain skintones: Fair skin shows more redness along with dark spots; Medium skin shows visible sallowness; Dark skin shows acne marks and blemishes. More specifically, the break down of these color-correcting ingredients are as follows:
• Hydroxy-Phenoxy Propionic Acid — A hydroquinone derivative that provides a multifaceted approach to evening skintone and reducing the appearance of dark spots
• Lyphohydroxy acid (LHA) – A hydroxy acid that helps brighten the appearance of skin over time

Soft-focus tinted pearls were carefully selected for each formula, so each skintone could enjoy the light scattering technology. Lancôme claims it has clinically observed three different pigmentation profiles, and developed these DreamTone formulas to correct the problems with each.

Each formula targets excess melanin synthesis (which leads to pigmentation irregularities), restores epidermal homeostasis (keeps things working right) and combats redness and stress.
Each tester used this product daily for about 10 days.

“The formula has a pearly, reflective texture that brightens and illuminates skin immediately for a healthy, radiant look. The pink and copper pigments aid in improving the skintone.
It absorbs well and is a fine base for the rest of your makeup. I did not find I could go without foundation, but since it was so light and easily absorbed, I could apply my regular sun protection as well as foundation, blush and powder without looking cakey or overdone.
