I had not previously heard of Stowaway Cosmetics, so I was excited to try their products. This cosmetic line has beautifully pigmented products in small sizes, making them easy to transport and take with you on the go! It’s such a great concept!
The Stowaway Cosmetics Essential Eye Palette, $25, has 8 shades that allow you to easily create the perfect every day eye look. You can also achieve a darker smoky look with these shades. There are four shimmer shades and four matte shades. You can even use the matte shades as eyeliner, or the matte browns to fill in your eyebrows. This eyeshadow palette is the size of a credit card and contains a nice mirror as well as a double ended brush.
In the photographs, I am wearing most of these shades on my eyes. I used the lighter shimmery shades on my inner corner and eyelid, and I used the shimmery plum on the outer portion of my eyelid. I also used the matte brown in my crease as a transition color and then the matte plum in the crease itself. The matte plum was used on my lower lash line to slightly smoke it out. I think this is the perfect look for work (I wore it to work) and I can easily transport this tiny palette with me. If I wanted to go somewhere after work, I can simply apply some of the darker shades to deepen up the look. This is a great palette! I love it.
Next, I have three shades of the Stowaway Cosmetics Tinted Lip Gloss, $8 each. The shades I have are Rosewood, Honey, and Petal. These lip glosses are about the size of your ring finger. They are infused with rich oils to keep your lips soft, healthy, and gorgeous. They are also made with safety conscious ingredients like coconut oil, vitamin E, and pomegranate oil to deliver superior moisture and protect your lips against damage caused by free radicals.
As you can see from the swatches in the photographs, these lip glosses are highly pigmented. They are squeeze tubes (no doe-foot applicator). You may want to use a lip brush but I didn’t have any issues applying these straight to my lips from the tubes. I am wearing the shade Honey in the photographs. They are thicker glosses but not sticky at all. I find the wear time to be a little longer than average for a lip gloss. I’m in love with these shades. They are natural and not too bold.
