25 Nov Review, Swatches, Photos: Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) Pro’s Picks Portables: Lip Tar Test Tube x 12 Holiday Set
Once in a while, a good brand comes along and changes your life. Yes, I’m aware how heavily cliché this sounds, but OCC has really been that brand for me. Its game-changing pigments and street wear appeal have really changed how I look at beauty products. First, I was addicted to the polishes, then came the colored pencils and finally the Lip Tars. Oh, those beloved Lip Tars.
Now, if you haven’t tried this pretty piece of beauty glory, then boy are you missing out. Not only do they boast long-wear staying power, but they come in a variety of colors that will surely entice any beauty lover. Love a fearless fuchsia? Sure, they got that. How about a seductive silver? Yep! (I think you know where this is going.)
Left to Right: Zhara, Iced, Vintage, Hoochie, Grandma, Sebastian, Nylon, Annika, Digitalis, Cha Cha, Interlace, Harlot
Brand-swooning aside, OCC is surely treating fans this holiday season with the NEW! Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Pro’s Picks Portables: Lip Tar Test Tube x 12 Set. You’ll get to test 12 different mini Lip Tar shades. And although there are 12 different amazing options to try, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite shades from the set.
To be honest, I’m no stranger to the world of Lip Tars; I’ve probably tested more shades than I can count. But, it was nice to see old favorites that I know and love come together inside this holiday set. For starters, Cha Cha always has been a longstanding favorite of mine, as it delivers such a warm peach color to your lips.
Hot and sexy pinks are another shade that I love, as they bring out my eyes and add some “oomph” to my blonde locks. Nylon delivers a come-hither effect to lips unlike any pink I’ve ever seen before.
For that winter wine shade, Vintage brings a warm, crimson scarlet shade to your lips without drying them out. However, be aware that these deeper colors tend to last on lips and can be a challenge to take off.
Feeling a bit daring? Try Hoochie, a pastel purple that brings on serious sass and attitude.
And for that classic tomato red, apply Harlot for a totally smoldering and festive effect.
