Liquid lipsticks have been trending for several years now so you might have forgotten about the original “liquid lipstick” – the lip stain!

Rose Water, Orange Water, Red Water, and Violet Water.
These lip stains provide sheer shades that are
moisturizing, stray-proof, smooth-proof, and fade-proof. They last up to 300 kisses! (There was literally a clinical test with 22 volunteers to back this stat up.) The Water Lip Stains are formulated with all the
benefits of a lip treatment. They leave lips feeling soft, hydrated, and incredibly comfortable. You get to customize the result too! From a
just-kissed look to high voltage color. The more coats, the deeper the color intensity.
The product comes with a
brush-tip applicator. This is the only downfall in my opinion. I do wish there was a doe-foot applicator instead of the brush-tip. I find it can be a little more tedious to get a precise line around the perimeter of your lips with the brush-tip, but it is still usable! And let me tell you –
these all smell delightful. It’s the
fruitiest, most delicious summer scent you’ll find.
Here are some swatches of the four shades (with just one swipe of the brush). They each are perfect for summer! Bright and bold. However, you can tone them down or tone them up to your liking by reapplying another layer. They look and feel weightless on the lips, unlike traditional or liquid lipsticks. It just tints the skin on your lips. They have
great lasting power and don’t transfer. You’ll want to reapply throughout the day to touch up but they do wear off evenly on the lips. I found these
lasted me throughout an entire work day.
All in all, if you’re looking for a truly low maintenance lip color, I think you should definitely pick up one (or all) of the Clarins Water Lip Stains! They are much more comfortable than liquid lipsticks and don’t wear off as quickly as liquid lipsticks do.
