My, how I love our readers and Twitter followers… I asked a fellow reader on Twitter which Essie nail color to wear from the new Fall 2013 Collection.

She chose For the Twill of It, so I got to painting my nails! It is a simply stunning color! It’s like the inside of an oyster, where you’d find the pearl, as it has both depth and dimension in its color range.

NYFW becomes a flutter with fun, phenomenal inspiration. And this year’s fall collection was inspired by everything from Manhattan’s oil-slicked streets after a thunderstorm to the schoolgirls and boys filling the streets in their pleated navy skirts and blue-black blazers.

The Essie Fall 2013 Collection ($8.00 each) boasts fashionable shades for nails that resemble lush cashmere, rich twill and luxe lace.

“I love the idea of creating polish that’s like the proverbial boyfriend sweater — in this case, a blazer borrowed from the boys,” says brand Founder and Global Creative Director Essie Weingarten.

“Creating nail color with a warm and fuzzy feeling could be tricky, but when you get it right, it really is like putting on your favorite sweater.”

Colors available are: Twin Sweater Set (vibrant crimson red), The Lace Is On (jewel-toned pearlescent fuchsia), After School Boy Blazer (deep midnight blue), For the Twill of It (compelling maple and reflective olive shimmer), Cashmere Bathrobe (true flannel gray) and Vested Interest (cool gray teal).

This collection is available September 2013, yet I have seen it in many salons already and can also be purchased on essie.com.

Although we are in the latter part of August, Essie‘s Sleek Stick Summer 2013 Collection should not be passed by! At $10.25 each, it took me about 5-minutes to jazz up my nails — and I loved the outcome.

A fellow reader chose me to wear Sea Me Shine!, and I went from my nude color polish to a traditional nautical print in blue with silver stones. It was fun to interact with my Twitter followers, and as soon as they told me which one to apply, I uploaded a photo immediately to show them that it only took me 5-minutes!

All were inspired by a perfect weekend getaway to a chic beach destination.
