Rodan & Fields Proactiv Solution is known for clearing up skin, giving teens and adults the confidence to go out in public without worrying about their acne. Well, once you have clear skin you may be left with other issues, such as large pores and foundation not lasting as long as you hope. Have no fear, Proactiv‘s New Smoothing Primer ($23.00) is here.
Yes, Proactiv is the latest skin care company to jump on the primer bandwagon. The primer is oil-free and claims to minimize the appearance of large pores, fine lines, wrinkles and flaws. The texture of the product is nice, however, I did find it to have too much slip. Once it was on, it did make my pores somewhat smaller and dried to a matte finish.
The main ingredients to calm down irritation are white tea and botanical extracts. Overall, I thought this product did the job, but I won’t say it was the best primer I have ever tried. I did wear it through a spinning class, (that is my ultimate test!) and my makeup looked less than perfect.
Overall, I would give this primer a 6 out of 10. Great in a pinch, but there are many more that I liked. More primer reviews to come, my friends! Available at www.proactivcatalog.com
