Review, Photos, Swatches: Neutrogena MoistureShine Lip Soother Gloss - Non-sticky, Gel-Like Formula Adds Shine, Moisture

According to Neutrogena, MoistureShine Lip Soother ($6.49) “provides instant, soothing relief on contact with beautiful high gloss shine and SPF 20.” In addition, the “unique hydragel formula contains cucumber, chamomile and glycerin for intense moisturization.” Available in nine shades, I was given three to sample: Glisten, Glaze and Sparkle. I am going to fess up right away and say I am not a lipgloss sort of girl. For me, it’s red lips, and red lips only — the brighter and bolder, the better. But if I did use lipgloss, I would not mind using these. The gel formula is not too sticky or greasy; it stays put and gives your lips a bit of a tingling sensation. I did not notice significant differences in the colors when applied: Glisten looked peachy in the tube, but not so much when swatches; Glaze looked pinky-rose and Sparkle was a pale shimmery nude. They all had a slightly fruity taste to them — the differences were hard to detect.

I’d say they were a good buy for the price, especailly for you glossy-lipped addicted gals out there. But I’m holding out for the perfect, platonic ideal of a red for me. I’ll let you all know when I find it!
