04 Nov Review, Photos, Swatches, Makeup Trend 2017, 2018: La Prairie Switzerland Cellular Treatment Loose Powder, Luxe Eye Liner Automatique
This finishing powder is meant to be the final step in setting your face. It comes with a travel-sized companion that is easily refillable, as well as a little scoop so you don’t have to worry about making a mess trying to refill your travel-sized jar. The ultra-smooth formula and sheer consistency ensure that application is fool-proof.
I will say that this powder is the most soft and creamy setting powder that I have ever tried. It feels as if it melts between your fingers when you dip your finger into it. It does have a slight fragrance type of scent to it but I don’t find it bothersome. I have this powder in shade Translucent 2. The only other option is Translucent 1. I find that it adds just the tiniest amount of color to my face but not anything really noticeable. It does an amazing job at setting your makeup without looking cakey. I’ve been using this powder to bake or set my makeup and I really like it.
Eyes appear wider and brighter with this eye-enhancing tool that lets you create gorgeous, long-lasting color along the lash line. It also comes packaged with a refillable color cartridge. It provides smudge-proof, long wearing color. The pencil is soft and durable and requires no sharpening. You can get a controlled and precise application.
To use, simply apply the color to the lash line. For a softer, subtler effect, gently smudge or blend, using the sponge included at the opposite end of the applicator.
This eyeliner retails for $50 as I mentioned above, however you do get a full-sized refill, which essentially knocks the cost down to about $25 per eyeliner. That’s about average for a higher end luxury eyeliner. It is very creamy which is great for applying to the lash line as well as the water line because you don’t want a dry product that you have to press hard and drag across such a sensitive area. Once it sets, it lasts and you won’t have to worry about it running or fading throughout the day. There are several other shades available as well, such as Bleu Velours, Lavande, Noir, Foret, and Granite. I have this picture in the shade Brun.
