Today is International Women’s Day, and we’re excited to bring you some of our favorite products celebrating the day!

Since 2012, Plan International’s USA has supported Because I am a Girl, a program aimed to reach 4 million girls to help transform their lives and communities by providing the education and skills they need to succeed. Plan International ensures that schools are safe, inclusive, and meaningful places for girls to learn and become healthy, engaged citizens of their community and nation. Just one extra year of primary education can mean up to 20% higher wages for a girl, strengthening the economy for her community and nation.

International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate achievements amongst women and gender equality. This year, the theme is #beboldforchange–and we wanted to celebrate two women, both immigrants, who are changing the world via beauty.
Sarah Akkari, CEO of Senteurs d’Orient
Senteurs D’Orient was founded by Sarah’s mother years ago with a commitment to women–one that Sarah still maintains as CEO. The company, based in Lebanon, employs 90% women–from the office architect to the women who handmake the company’s beautiful soaps. What’s more–the company donates 10% of proceeds to educate women in Lebanon to help them become strong, independent and self-sufficient.
Jean Sim, Co-Creator of Fresh Monster
Jean is a product of Korean immigrant parents who moved her to the US for a better life and a better education. After spending years working for global haircare brands, Jean set out to create Fresh Monster–a company dedicated to bringing health hair and body care products to the masses. Jean doesn’t believe there should be a tradeoff between good-for-you ingredients and price. You can find her products at supermarkets, Walmart and Target, giving access to premium ingredients and formulas to all economic backgrounds.
In partnership with the UN Women, 100% of the profits from the sale of the L’OCCITANE Solidarity Balm will finance NGOs projects to promote women’s leadership in the world, with the support of the L’OCCITANE Foundation.
The Avon Empowerment Strength Charm Bracelet is a thin bangle bracelet with a row of various charms that relate to the Domestic Violence Cause. A round disc charm with “Strength” engraved on it, Infinity Symbol, Butterfly charm, a blue, clear and iridescent faceted bead and a round quartz bead. While Avon’s Sterling Silver Empowerment CZ Ring features a solid infinity symbol attached to the band at the top.
20% of the retail price of each item will be donated to the Avon Foundation to fund programs to end violence against women.
