Review & Swatch: Benefit Cosmetics' "Bella Bamba" 3D Blush Powder

We all love things that smell, look, and work great. Benefit Cosmetics knows how to keep us ladies happy. This spring Benefit introduces the first ever 3D blush powder, Bella Bamba.

Benefit Cosmetics Bella Bamba

First there is a new brush design which is round rather than square, and that makes it easier to sweep your color exactly where you want it to go. Next is the smell! Benefit Cosmetics added a divine watermelon scent to go along with this gorgeous pink-red blush. This is suitable for all skin tones, and gives a healthy pop of color.

Benefit Cosmetics Bella Bamba
Bella Bamba is described as a watermelon pink with gold shimmer. It’s packaging is new to Benefit’s boxed powders with an attached lid and mirror, and it contains 0.28oz of product compared to 0.35-0.42oz of product in the existing boxed powders.

The 3D effect is multi-dimensional to the naked eye, and does the job of helping to sculpt (or contour) the cheekbones, as well as add a bit of highlight. Unlike their other shades that are generally matte, this has a slight sparkle. While there are HD brands like Make Up For Ever and Shiseido, this is a true breakthrough in the way it captures light.

Compared to their other recently released boxed powders, “Hoola” is more of a bronze powder made to sculpt the cheeks for a more defined cheekbone, as is “Dallas.” “Dandelion” is perfect for just a soft wash of color all over, and “CORALista” is a true coral shade. Bella Bamba has a slightly redder tone to it.
