Makeup Review, Swatches: Laura Mercier Folklore Spring 2013 Collection - Copper, Gold Eyeshadow, Coral Lip Crayon

Want to be a tribal goddess this spring? Laura Mercier has conjured up the Folklore Collection that evokes Talitha Getty lounging in a gorgeous caftan in Morocco on holiday in the ’70s. Grab your scarf and join me as I show you three products to get your socialite groove on!

Fire Glow

First in the collection are the Illuminating Eye Colours ($24.00) that come in three shades: Fire Glow (pictured), a gorgeous coppery shade; Sun Glow, a gilded gold which is perfect for brightening the lid (pictured) and Earth Glow, a shimmery brown.

I love Laura’s shadows, as they are talc-free — this ensures that they apply like a buttery powder to the eyelid. Easily blendable to create the eye design of your choice. I also love the funky quilted design on the actual product. I almost hate to use it!

Mayan Sun

Next up in the collection is the Lip Crayon ($22.00). Lip crayon’s are all the rage this season, from COVERGIRL to Revlon, and, alas, Laura Mercier! This convenient product comes in three sunny shades: Mayan Sun (pictured), a soft coral; Folklore, a light fuchsia and Burnt Clay, a deep brown.

The texture of these lippys are light, yet the pigment is buildable. Like her regular luxurious lipsticks, these do not feather or drag on lips. They swivel up, ensuring you will have plenty of product to last you through an Indian summer.

To round out your tribal goddess look, go to your nearest Laura Mercier counter and check out the rest of the products in this collection, such as the Baked Blush Bronze ($36.00) and Crème Eye Liner ($22.00).
