Pure Color Cheek Rush ($28.00) is a blush described as a “rush of cellophane-sheer gel color.” I was really surprised when I pumped-out the product — it was so intense and bright, I couldn’t imagine it blending out to become sheer… but it did!
This unique formula is a sheer, buildable, water-light gel. It is weightless and super-easy to blend and wears for hours.
There are four see-through shades to choose from: Hot Fuse (sheer red; swatched), Pink Patent (sheer pink), X-Pose Rose (more purple than pink) and Techno Jam (deep, but bright, magenta). The petite, colorful pump dispenses just the right amount for a fresh, modern look.
Estée Lauder’s Day Wear UV Base Advanced Anti-Oxidant & UV Defense SPF 50 ($39.00) acts as invisible armor against the elements. It is lightweight and has a fresh, clean smell. Applied as the last step in your skincare regimen, it prepares your skin for whatever the day has in store.
My makeup wore well over this product; it doesn’t feel like there’s sunscreen in this product at all. While you can’t tell if you are being protected from UV rays, I trust the Estée Lauder brand.
