03 Dec Makeup Review, Swatches: Bobbi Brown Holiday 2012 Collections: Caviar, Oyster,Rich Caviar, Black Pearl Eye Palettes
I always look forward to Christmas for all the lovely holiday palettes. Bobbi Brown has come up with three of my favorite this season! The first is the deluxe Caviar and Oyster Palette ($75.00). Last, but certainly not least, are the Rich Caviar Eye Palette ($47.50) and Black Pearl Eye Palette ($47.50). Bobbi definitely has something for everyone this holiday season.
Swatches of newer shades
First up is the luxurious Caviar and Oyster Palette (pictured above). This deluxe palette comes with six shades of eyeshadow that lift up to expose a gorgeous pink shimmery powder to be used on the cheeks for a subtle, gorgeous sheen. The first quad set of shadows have lighter shades for daytime such as:
White – A beautiful clear base
Pink Opal – Can be used as a highlight or a lid shade
Sandy Pearl – Great shimmery taupe for crease and/lid
Grey Sky – Again, a great medium shade for crease, depending on your mood
The next quad is meant to jazz-up your eyes for a sultry evening look.
Plum Steel – A dreamy medium toned plum shadow for lid and/or crease
Heather Grey – a soft light/medium grey toned shade
Pearl Oyster – Sparkly, silvery tone to increase the WOW factor of your eyes
Rich Caviar – Deep brown liner used either wet or dry to get that drama effect you so desire.
Next up is the Rich Caviar and Black Pearl Eye Palettes. Rich Caviar is for the more subtle eye makeup user. Black Pearl is for the smoky eye aficionado. They both come with six shadows to be combined for a variety of different looks.
The Rich Caviar palette contains :
Bone – All-over base shade
Olive Sparkle – Beautiful medium shade
Candlelight Metallic Sparkle – New
Wheat – A light taupe for lid or all over (depending on skin tone)
Black Topaz Metallic – Deeper shade for evening
Rich Caviar – Great liner used wet or dry
The Black Pearl shadows are for the gals who love drama! This palette also contains some new shades:
White – All-over base
Candlelight Metallic – New fun shade
Grey Denim – A dusky grey that was in her Denim Rose Collection a few years back
Black Velvet Sparkle – Makes hazel eyes smolder!
Tin Metallic – A grey-lavender to accent
Charcoal – Classic Liner
So, there you have it, some of my favorite palettes from Bobbi Brown this season! Now, all you have to decide is if you want your eyes to look naughty or nice!
