18 Dec Cosmetics Trend Review 2016, 2017: Top Beauty Bloggers Pick The Best Makeup & Skincare Products For 2015, Mascara, Lipstick, Gloss
It’s that time of year again, when we look back at all the latest and greatest beauty goodies that we couldn’t get enough of. We asked our favorite bloggers to fill us in on what skincare, lip colors, and mascaras they were loving in 2015. As we count down to the new year, check out some of their go-to products!
Lancome Visionnaire Nuit Beauty Sleep Perfector – The gel to oil formula is incredible. It melts right into skin without any greasy residue. It’s lightweight but delivers so much hydration and in the morning my skin is so soft and radiant.
Favorite lip color:
Maybelline Lip Studio Color Blur in Plum Please – This is my perfect berry-wine shade. The pigments are on point and what you see on the packaging is the shade delivered on application. Most mattes are very drying but this is one of the more forgiving formulas since it’s a cream matte. I will admit though that I don’t use the blur smudge stick on the opposite end of the wand.
Stila Huge Mascara – I love how dark this mascara is and the wand makes for a very easy, full, volumizing application that doesn’t flake and lasts all day.
Favorite lip color:
Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in NaYeon, worn below.
Favorite ‘go-to’ neutral shade: Lunatick Labs Lipstick in Bruja , worn below.
Favorite skincare: Paula’s Choice RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster.
Favorite mascara: Urban Decay Perversion Mascara.
Favorite new (to the market) skincare:
Murad Invisiblur Protecting Shield SPF 30 – This is a game changer for me-clear sunscreen that also doubles as a makeup primer AND a blurring tool that also mixes well with my beloved Cover FX Custom Cover Drops.
Favorite new (to me) skincare:
RoC Daily Resurfacing Disks – LOVE these for cleansing—one side is smooth and forms a lather that rids the skin of impurities while the other is slightly textured to allow for gentle exfoliation.
Favorite new (to the market) lipstick:
Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme in Embrace – I love the formula because it’s super buttery unlike a lot of liquid lipsticks that tend to dry out the lips. I love the Embrace shade in particular because it’s such a perfect blend of magenta and eggplant.
Favorite new (to me) lipstick:
Christian Louboutin Lipstick – Yes, these are a pretty penny (okay, about 900 pretty pennies…lol) but I’m a sucker for chic packaging and the formula feels SO amazing on the lips.
Juara, and I am obsessed with their anti aging serum and Vitality Radiance oil for my bone dry skin. It is instantly hydrating and smells divine.
And just for fun, I decided to thrown in a few of my faves from this year. There have been so many new beauty trends and innovative formulas added to the market that it’s hard (but always fun) to keep up with. Check out some of my new go-to products!
The Body Shop Oils of Life Facial Oil – I have combination skin that tends to get oily by the end of the day, so when I started hearing about the benefits of facial oils I was hesitant to give it a try. But, honestly after about a week of applying it, I was hooked. My skin was instantly more radiant and glowy! You can’t beat that!
L’Oreal Le Matte in Matte for Me – I’m a red or neutral lippie kind of girl. I tend to shy away from pinks, yet I have been loving this shade of the Le Matte Lip Pen. The color is a Barbie pink and the formula leaves a matte look that lasts all day long.
Too Faced Better Than Sex – With a name like that, how can you go wrong? I was unfortunately not blessed with killer lashes, they are naturally straight and short (sigh!). I’ve gone through my share of mascaras that claim to give you va va voom lashes, and Better Than Sex is a hit.
Makeup Review, Swatches: Too Faced Spring 2016 Love Flush Blush Wardrobe, Candlelight Glow Duo, Chocolate Bon Bons Eye Shadow Collection, Melted Chocolate, Shadow Insurance Primer, La Crème Color Drenched Lipstick
