22 Sep 4 Ways To Join & Support The Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund This September: Best Beauty Products 2014
For ovarian cancer survivors, loved ones and supporters, September is a crucial month to help raise awareness for this deadly disease. While we will continue to fight this disease every day, help the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund (LMOCF) in our battle against ovarian cancer during these final weeks of National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
1. KNOW THE SYMPTOMS: Most women don’t know the symptoms (experience persistent bloating, abdominal or pelvic pain, feeling full quickly when eating or changes in urination) or risk factors. If you have symptoms or a family history of the disease, talk to a doctor. Don’t wait; the earlier ovarian cancer is diagnosed, the better the prognosis.
2. SPREAD THE WORD: Talk to your friends and family members about what you’ve learned. You can join the Speak Out for Hope conversation online by following @LauraMercier on Twitter and Instagram and use #LMOCF, #SpeakOutForHope to support this important cause.
3. DONATE: You can help LMOCF continue to raise awareness and fund research and educational efforts by making a donation to lmocf.org. All funds go to programs that help diagnose, treat and support women with ovarian cancer.
4. SHOP FOR THE CAUSE: Laura Mercier cosmetics will donate 100% of the profits from the sale of this year’s 2014 annually-released September items. Check out some of them down below!
Laura Mercier Bonne Mine Palette: An ultra-sheer, blendable palette that provides skin with a natural “no makeup” glow that looks soft and sun-kissed. The palette was inspired by Laura’s work with celebrity clients, who wanted a universal compact that would “wake-up” their skin and give them a healthy glow. ($48.00) 100% of the profits from the sale of this product will be donated to LMOCF
Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in Peach Hope: A high-shine, perfectly pigmented lipgloss with rich, long-lasting color and brilliant shine that creates the appearance of fuller lips. This luxe lipgloss glides on for peachy-pink shimmer and brilliant shine. ($25.00) 100% of the profits from the sale of this product will be donated to LMOCF
Laura Mercier Bracelet of Hope: An inspirational piece of jewelry to empower every woman with courage, strength and energy. The precious stones, including freshwater pearls and crystal quartz, were hand-selected, and the bracelet is nickel- and lead-free. ($35.00) 100% of the profits from the sale of this product will be donated to LMOCF
Jenny Packham Teal Clutch: Laura Mercier and world-renowned fashion designer Jenny Packham have partnered to create an exclusive teal clutch to benefit LMOCF. The clutch was inspired by Kate Middleton’s beautiful teal dress that she wore to Our Greatest Team Rises Gala dinner at London’s Royal Albert Hall. ($300.00) 100% of the profits from the sale of this product will be donated to LMOCF
glassybaby: It takes four Seattle artists, three layers of molten glass and two thousand degrees to make one glassybaby. Each ‘strength’ glassybaby is a beautiful, opaque shade of teal. ($44.00) 10% from the sale of each ‘strength’ glassybaby will be donated to LMOCF
