22 Aug Review, Before/After Photos: Pureology Highlight Stylist: Texturizing Shine-Foam, Salt-Free Tousle Mist, Contour Shine-Gel: How To Prevent Blonde Highlights From Fading
Learn How To Warm Up Highlights Without Having To Go Completely Blonde with a Rose Gold hair color. See PHOTOS —> HERE!
As I’m a brunette (with virtually no highlights) I enlisted the help of my girl, makeup artist and beauty blogger Lisa from Beauty By Benz.
Lisa has a much looser hair texture, which is lighter in color, and therefore can go blonde easily. She already has blonde highlights, so she was the perfect tester for Pureology Highlight Stylist products. The new product line consists of:
I asked Lisa to try all 3 products and document her results. Her hair looked great and she absolutely loved the highlight results on her hair. Her first comment: “I loved how the products made my hair look, feel and smell! “
After: Lisa Using Gold Definer Contour Shine-Gel
Gold Definer Contour Shine-Gel — “I used this one to straighten my hair; I didn’t feel like it weighed my hair down at all. It has tiny gold flecks in it that you can see, adding shine to highlights.
After: Bodifying Luminator Texturizing Shine-Foam
Bodifying Luminator Texturizing Shine-Foam — I used this on one of my the curly hair days (you can see that on the foam day my curls are shinier than the Tousle Mist day). I used it on damp hair. Again, my hair didn’t feel greasy at all and I didn’t feel like I could use too much — it was really lightweight.
A lot of times I can’t do that with mousse because my hair is thin, and if I use even a little too much, I look like a drowned rat. But I didn’t experience that with this at all. I actually used quite a bit and didn’t feel any greasy residue.
After: Lisa Using Sea-Kissed Texturizer Salt-Free Tousle Mist
Sea-Kissed Texturizer Salt-Free Tousle Mist — I totally loved this! I used this on my dry, STRAIGHT hair and then scrunched it to get the waves. It didn’t feel crunchy or dry like some other sea sprays.
As far as highlights go, I feel like the Contour Shine-Gel brought out my highlights the most, followed by the Texturizing Shine-Foam; the Tousle Mist was probably the least effective.”
At the actual launch event, I had a chance to find out more about the products from Pureology Artistic Ambassador, Natasha Sunshine about the technology behind Highlight Stylist.
