Jessica Simpson has released the consummate summer fragrance with her new Fancy Love perfume ($49.00 for 1.7 oz at Macys.)
The bubbly top notes include goji leaf, peach blossom, bergamot, and pink champagne, while the floral heart of the perfume contains lotus, peonies, plumeria, jasmine, and Turkish rose. Amber, blonde woods, musk, and patchouli hold it all together at the base for a flirty wash of fragrance. This perfume tries to capture the feeling of falling in love. It succeeds; I can practically smell the hope and optimism mixed in the with florals. It’s a pretty pick-me-up for summertime fun.
This isn’t Miss. Simpon’s first foray into the world of fragrance, of course, but the whiff might be one of her best. If you want a pretty scent for a romantic summertime date, this is it.
