As a beauty editor, I get lots of new products sent to my doorstep everyday. So now that skincare brands SkinMedica and Regenica® are offering me to take the esteemed Growth Factor Challenge, it’s going to be pretty interesting to compare and contrast their latest skin-boosting essentials.
It’s no wonder why skin-generating growth factor skincare has grown in popularity over the years. Growth factors are naturally occurring cell-signifying agents that tell the skin to make collagen, elastin and a youthful cell matrix. When consumers replenish their growth factors, they boost the body’s ability to repair and regenerate their skin. And being that both of these products fit under the growth factor guidelines, the challenge plans to put 2 different products at a head-to-head comparison for 2 straight weeks.
Closely examining the effectiveness (plus strengths and weaknesses) of both products, follow my journey this month and see exactly how these products are working. Stay tuned for updated posts and picture comparisons to monitor my exact progress!
For the first week, I’ll be testing out the Regenica® Advanced Rejuvenation Overnight Repair, which heals and restores the skin overnight, as well as working to repair excess damage caused by sun exposure and environmental irritants. Recommended to be applied before bedtime, this creamy serum-like product plans to improve skin quality with continued use.
And for the second week, I’ll be using the SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum, an invigorating cocktail of antioxidants and peptides that fights against wrinkles and improves overall skintone and texture. Best used during the day day and evening hours after cleansing, I’m excited to see how this fancy-looking product will exactly work, as its dual white and red color (which you are supposed to blend together before application) looks undeniably cool.
Here’s me before I embark on this skincare journey, as I’m excited to put these beautifying babies up to par and see which one my skin likes best.
