Vincent Longo has released some great products for their Fall 2015 line including The Alternative Glamour Collection – a great way to revamp your makeup bag!
Since eyebrows are hot this season, let’s start with the brow products. The Vincent Longo Brow Kit, $34 is available in two shades: Blonde (Golden Taupe) and Brunette (Medium Neutral Brown). You get a brow powder, a brow pomade, and a brow highlighter with each kit. I found that the shade Brunette was closest to my brow shade.
I absolutely love these brow kits because the powder applies very smoothly. You can use either the powder or the pomade to fill in your brows, or you can use both. The pomade acts like a brow gel to seal your brows in place. Then, simply apply the highlight shade underneath your brow bone and even in your inner corner to brighten your eyes. In the photo, I am wearing the Brunette Brow Kit.
Eyeshadow is one of my favorite makeup products. Vincent Longo released five new shades of the Cangiante Dimensional Eyeshadows, $24. These are demi-matte with a flattering finish. The super pigmented shadows can be applied lightly for a sheer wash of color or packed on for a deeper look. Vitamin E is one ingredient that protects the delicate skin of your eyelids.
The five shades are Intergalactic (Rich Aubergine), Wannabe (Golden Ivory), Hypnotize (Cornflower Blue), Ironic (Cork Brown), and Don’t Speak (Dove Grey). In the photograph, I am wearing Don’t Speak (Dove Grey) and Wannabe (Golden Ivory). I also used a little bit of Hypnotize (Cornflower Blue) on the lower lash line. These eyeshadows blend like a dream. There was no skipping or fading throughout the day.
For lips, there are three shades of Velvet Riche Lip Lacquers in this collection, $24 each. These lip lacquers provide an incredible depth of color and hint of shine. They are infused with Vitamin E to keep your lips soft. The shades are: Angela (Soft Dark Berry), Felicity (Soft Peach), and Daria (Dark Brick). In the photo, I used Felicity.
On my lips, I noticed that these products didn’t feel like a gloss. They don’t totally dry down to a matte either. They remain soft on the lips. Transfer was pretty minimal in my opinion. I love the applicator on these as well because It was very easy to get a detailed application. They have a slight scent but it’s nothing that I noticed and not nearly as strong as other lip products I have tried. So, if you are sensitive to scents, these would be perfect for you!
Don’t you love how the names of these products are totally inspired by the 90’s? I’m in love! Get your hands on some of the items from this collection today. These are truly lovely products. I had never tried Vincent Longo products before but I surely will keep my eyes out for new releases and snag some in the future!
