I know that with the warmer months, we’re all on the hunt for a
lightweight foundation that won’t feel heavy or look cakey on our skin, yet still leaves the skin looking perfected. I’ve recently tested out a new foundation from
Benefit Cosmetics – the Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation. It retails for
$29.00 for 1 oz. There are currently
12 shades in the line.
The packaging is
extremely cute! It’s in a
plastic squeeze bottle so this will be
travel friendly for those of you who take lots of trips in the summer. You don’t have to worry about your foundation bottle accidentally breaking during the ride. The top simply twists off and there is a small tip which dispenses the product as you squeeze the tube.
As for the formula of this foundation, it is a
light-to-medium coverage liquid foundation with broad-spectrum
SPF 15 sun protection. The foundation evens out the look of your skin and blurs imperfections with soft-focus
optical blurring spheres. The lightweight, buildable formula is easy to apply and
flashback free, plus it contains shea extract, an ingredient known to smooth the look of skin and help protect it. With a
natural-matte finish, this foundation looks like skin and feels like nothing at all.
I am happy to report that this foundation is
100% flashback free! So you can take flash photography photos and not have to worry about your skin appearing several shades lighter due to your foundation. Other than that, this is a great light-to-medium coverage foundation. It provides enough coverage to even out your skin tone (you’ll need to spot conceal any pimples or dark spots) and
feels very weightless on the skin. I have oily skin so I did feel the need to blot after several hours, but since this foundation feels more hydrating, I think if you have dry skin you will absolutely love it! It also blends into the skin like a dream. This is my
new favorite foundation for the summer months!
