CLINIQUE Sun-Kissed Face Gelee Complexion Multitasker, $26.50, is a newly introduced product said to be an “instant pick-me-up for skin” and the sheer, oil-free gel is said to create a warm, healthy glow. The shade, Universal Glow, is suitable for all skin types and tones. The product has also been ophthalmologist tested.
According to the directions, the product should be blended quickly with foundation. It is recommended that you wash your hands after application. I was a little skeptical when I saw the first squirt emerge from the tube; the color looked so dark. I thought it would make me look as if I had been baking in the sun all day. But I was happy to find out that the sheer, easy-to-blend texture mitigated the seeming darkness of the color. When applied, it added a subtle, healthy glow to my face. Since I love the sun-kissed look but not the harmful rays of the sun, I was very happy with how this product performed. It’s a perfect addition to your warm weather routine. I plan to use it to fake a day at the beach while keeping my skin healthy and protected all summer long.
Super City Block BB Cushion Compact Broad Spectrum SPF 50, $35.00, is a “buildable, breathable fluid makeup” said to feel cool and weightless on skin, yet deliver a lasting natural-matte finish. High-level SPF (50!) and antioxidants help protect against skin-damaging UV, impurities and environmental aggressors. It’s all contained in a portable, ready-to-go compact with puff applicator.
I cannot say enough good things about this product! It has everything one could want in a foundation: easy to apply, ample sun protection, good coverage in a breathable formula, and easy to pop in your bag and go! Even though it is a bit more expensive than some other well-performing foundations I have used, it is worth every penny. I loved the coverage, which was not heavy or greasy, as well as the ease of application. I hope Clinique never stops producing this product and I plan to stockpile in case they do!
