This week I was lucky to have gone to the L’Oréal Tech building in NYC to experience the new L’Oréal Paris EverCrème Sulfate-Free Moisture System. Celebrity hair stylist Johnny Lavoy was on hand to talk about the newest edition to the L’Oréal hair care family. The EverCrème line claims to be the “first sulfate-free moisture system which will make dry hair days a thing of the past.” In my previous post I had told you all about my parched, dry hair. Think of a very dry broom: both the texture and feel. Ick! Right!?! I’m so happy that so many hair care companies nowadays are producing sulfate-free products that are more gentle for the hair. Well, this product line addresses stress and dryness due to coloring, blow drying and flat ironing — us gals do enough damage to our tresses, so we need all the help we can get!

The line consists of seven products all ranging in price from $6.99 to $8.99. When I smelled these products, I was in heaven: think warm vanilla, cedarwood and amber. Truly scrumptious! In addition to being sulfate-free, this line is free of heavy waxes, so hair won’t be weighed down. Instead of these heavy waxes L’Oréal has infused the line with camelina oil, which treats and smooths the surface of the hair; apricot oil, which penetrates the hair fiber, and grapeseed oil, which treats the surface of the hair. All of these lightweight oils treat and condition hair. The formula is paraben-free and 100% vegan

First in this product line is the EverCrème Cleansing Conditioner. I was intrigued by this product. Is it a shampoo? Is it a conditioner? Well gals…ITS BOTH! It is ¼ low-lathering shampoo and ¾ conditioner. I never used to like products like these, because they never conditioned my thick, dense hair enough. However, this did a fine job. I was quite impressed; the line also consists of good old shampoo and conditioner. Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner is for normal to dry hair. The Intense Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner is for dry to very dry hair.

Next up is the EverCrème Deep Nourishing Masque. This gem deeply nourishes and restores moisture to dry hair. This product claims to “wrap each strand with intense hydration”– transforming brittle hair to silky soft tresses. This product can be used once a week or as needed. Last but not least is one of my favorite products: leave-in spray. If you have thick hair you know what I’m talking about. My father used to relieve stress by running his fingers through the knots in my hair. Thus, EverCrème Nourishing Leave-In Spray! It detangles and softens hair, so you can actually run a comb through it.

So, there you have it: L’Oréal Paris EverCrème Sulfate-Free Moisture System. For mass market hair care, I think this product line is excellent! The price point and quality are great. I give the EverCrème Collection a 10 out of 10. All products can be found at your local drugstore.

So,are you going to let your hair drink in the nourishment?
