NIA-114, this dual-action serum is said to “

Chamber 1 contains six unique forms of hyaluronic to visibly plump skin with immediate and sustained hydration. Chamber 2 combines NIA-114 and ceramides to lock in moisture and prevent water loss. At the push of a button, the dual-phase formula is released and claims to:
- Deeply hydrate skin and lock in moisture
- Visibly plump and smooth the look of lines and wrinkles
- Improve skin’s ability to retain moisture
I used this product morning and evening for a few days. I liked the easy-action pump, the smooth, translucent formula and the fresh scent. I also appreciated the rapid absorption. And while I’m generally kind of skeptical about products promising to address fine lines and wrinkles (most are very disappointing in this regard) I’m happy to report that this product
really delivered on its promises.
Fine lines on my forehead and around my mouth really were smoothed and minimized—I was very impressed! This is an expensive formula but it’s really worth the price.
StriVectin Advanced Acid Resurface Glycolic Skin Reset Mask, $59.00
Glycolic acid is said to be the most effective of the alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA) and it claims to
exfoliate dead skin cells, revealing fresh, renewed skin. Paired with NIA-114, this potent yet gentle retexturizer promises to “
deliver maximum benefits with minimal irritation.”
With micro-encapsulated glycolic acid for slow-release exfoliation, the supercharged formula promises to “restore radiance and dramatically improve texture in just 5 minutes.”
I used this mask before bed and I just loved it. The
thick, rich formula felt so soft and creamy going on, and it was not at all rough on my skin. It really did resurface my complexion and my skin seemed unusually dewy and refreshed after it was rinsed off. If you want the power of an exfoliating product without the irritation, this is the formula for you.
StriVectin Advanced Acid Repair NIA114 + Oleic Rapid Recovery Milk, $79.00
This product contains
oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid that is said to “
replenish skin’s lipid layer, an essential component of the skin barrier.” Paired with NIA114, it claims to
improve skin’s resiliency and visibly repairs signs of aging. It offers the nourishing benefits of an oil in a fast-absorbing, deeply comforting milk to soothe dry skin and restore youthful appearance. It is also said to:
- Visibly repair and soothe dry skin
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Strengthen the skin barrier and visibly firm skin
I used this for a few nights before bed. I like the rich, milky formula of this product, as well as its quick absorption. I have a thing against those droppers though; I find them a little awkward to use and prefer a tube or best of all, a pump. I didn’t notice any change in the fine lines department either but the product did
leave my skin smooth and soft, so perhaps continued use will yield visible results.
