I tried this iron for several occasions, and found my best success using it as a flat iron for a straight hair look. When I attempted to curl my hair, I enlisted my fiancé for help… not having great results.
I was able to use my smartphone to download a video to watch a tutorial on how to use it to get the different styles.
In the video, the stylist and the girl getting her hair curled used a glove so they would not burn themselves. I was surprised this was not included with the iron, as it was hard to maneuver without this glove.

Also, I did not think the directions were that clear. I was not sure how long to keep my hair around the iron, so I think I took it out too soon. My hair is very thick and it did not curl well with this particular iron.

It might work better for somebody with more fine hair. If you need an inexpensive tool that can style your hair in 4 distinctive ways, then this might definitely work for you. I am hoping that they might include a glove and better directions — the experience might be altogether different.
