I was excited to give these new mascaras from Hard Candy a try! I’ve tried many Hard Candy products and enjoyed a lot of them. Drugstore mascaras are my favorite because they are inexpensive and perform just the same as their higher end counterparts.
The first mascara is the Big Fake Lashaholic, $7.00. The brush on this mascara is spiky, like the Benefit They’re Real wand. The brush is a “clump free” brush and this mascara will give you dramatic length and volume.
The second mascara is the Ginourmous Biggest Fan Volumizing Mascara, $6.00. This mascara will give you volume while fanning out your lashes. The brush is a “curl and fan” brush. Both sides of the brush look different. One side is used to curl the lashes and the other side is used to fan them out.
In the photograph, I used a mixture of both of the mascaras. I find that I enjoy the volume that I get from the Big Fake Lashaholic mascara, but I love the way the Ginourmous Biggest Fan Volumizing Mascara really fans out the lashes and separates them. I have both of these mascaras in the shade Black.
I have not noticed any flaking or smudging with either of these mascaras. I wore them both on the upper lashes and the lower lashes. I really put them to the test and wore them for over 12 hours. My lashes looked basically the same from the start of my day to the end of my day.
