From sequins to snakeskin, caviar to feathers — nail textures are trending and the new collection from China Glaze is no exception. Recently launched and available at fine salons and beauty supply stores nationwide comes China Glaze Texture Collection ($6.79 each)
This unique new lacquer applies like a cream yet dries with a 3D-textured effect, as you can see sampled with Of Coarse!, which is a bright, cobalt blue with textured grit.
Bump & Grind
It’s also a one-step application, similar to OPI‘s Liquid Sand where you simply polish the nail and no top coat is needed. You can combine these with China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat for a glossy effect if you want it to look more shiny.
The overall look is sugared-rim, making it fun for both day and night as the texture is both interesting and unique, yet, not too over-the-top. As soon as I posted the pictures on Twitter, the Of Coarse! swatch received quite a few RTs.
In The Rough (right down the middle)
Shades also available in this collection are In The Rough, a light lime-green with textured grit; Itty, Bitty & Gritty, a melon with textured grit; Unrefined, a bright pink with textured grit; Bump & Grind (pictured), a hot pinkish-red with textured grit and Toe-Tally Textured, a tangerine-orange with textured grit. China Glaze is free of DBP, toluene and added formaldehyde.
