Walking into their Chelsea space in NYC made my mouth water. All I could see was color, tables upon tables of lipstick, eye shadow, face powder, nail polish, etc. in almost every color, plus this holographic-like lip gloss that made my heart beat even faster. If you are a beauty lover like I am you totally understand what I mean. Inglot cosmetics are now in Macy’s Herald Square, with another free standing store location, but, my beauty crystal ball tells me Inglot is going to be a huge success, with plenty more stores to come.

All products are created in Poland, with the exception of the brush kits, and I felt there wasn’t a targeted audience missed when perusing the isles of the brand. They distribute all over the world, so I consider Macy’s a very wonderful client for them and wonder if there shall be more department store locations in their future? They are located in over 280 retail locations worldwide and have been around for over twenty-five years, yet they are just becoming better known here in the United States.

 Inglot is known for its Freedom System — allowing the client to CHOOSE their own eye, lip, eyebrow and face palette. They are paraben-free formulas and come in such a variety of colors that naming shades would take me hours. They also carry a line of O2M Breathable Nail Polish where it’s explained that the formula allows your nails to breathe and grow even though they are polished. Nail Art is available as well with super small brushes for the inner nail artist in you. They have face blush, duo blush compacts, body glitter, face illuminators, and much more.

I will soon follow-up with more information as I try more and more products from their line. I just had to share this incredible find with you, my in-the-know Beautystat readers.

It wears well on the skin, goes on without any fuss, and is easy to blend with your fingers (see pics HERE). It retails for $32.50.

CONCEALER:  Maybelline’s new Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer gets our two thumbs up in terms of dramatic transformation.

Since it is marketed as a treatment concealer, it also works to correct the problem over the long haul — a major plus. Application is easy thanks to the sponge tip applicator and Maybelline has all skin tones covered offering shades from fair to medium to dark.   Check out the Before & After photos HERE.

For $8.49, this is a good concealer to have. The bottle ensures you’ll have this for a long time — at least 3-4 months. Purchase this in drugstores or online retailers.

MASCARA:  L’Oreal’s Voluminous Million Lashes mascara.

This mascara actually lives up to it’s claims-it provides volume and separates lashes with each swipe of the brush (see Before & After photos HERE). The brush has many bristles (more than I’ve ever seen!) that provides a good coat that lasts throughout the day. Not only does this mascara provide amazing results but it’s also available at an affordable price-can’t beat that ladies!

Hypnôse Doll Mascara

Hypnose Doll Lashes Mascara does give you doll-like lashes, and they do become shiny. There’s more of a lengthening effect than a plumping effect (see Before & After photos HERE), so if you want volume, this is not the mascara for you. But if you’re going for definition, shine and length, then yes –I’d give this two thumbs up. Grab one for $25 at Lancome.com.

LIPSTICK / GLOSS: MAC Glamglass

If you want to make a statement, you certainly will with M.A.C.’s  Glamglass which launched in the Summer of 2011. This moisturizing gloss leaves lips silky while providing an intense shine. With 11 shades to choose from (see them all HERE) each retailing for $14.50, there’s something for every event. I certainly don’t see this product leaving my make up bag any time soon!

NAIL POLISH: Chanel and Zoya

Chanel Mimosa could have been Summer 2011′s IT nail polish color. This gorgeous shade looks beautiful on all skin complexions and makes a perfect pedicure color.

Here I’ve used soft, pale colors on my eyes and brightened my face with a red, glossy lip. The lip colors look much more intense in the container than they do when you put them on, and they have a really nice sheen. If you carry a medium sized clutch or larger bag, you can take them with you to touch up, or transform from natural day look to a dramatic evening look.

We’ve seen responses from the classic “Russian Red” by M.A.C. to the evergreen “Cherries in the Snow” by Revlon. In short, when a lady finds her true red, she’ll stick with it!

Green Eyeshadow: There are many shades in the eyeshadow department, but this season we’re seeing a flood of pearly and iridescent greens from several brands. Green eyeshadow complements several skin tones and is not too over the top, so several BeautyStat fans have given it a loud resounding “yes.” One member says, “It goes well with my tan in the summer” and another, “I’ll rock just about any color in the right shade, but green stands out on me ‘cuz of my dark brown eyes & skin tone.”

Satin and Matte Nail Lacquers but NOT Frosty Shades: The sheer and shimmer we’re seeing in the makeup department has also found their way to varnishing a girl’s digits, but not all members are fans of frosty shades. They’ll opt for shimmer, certainly, but are a little shy of the dated frosties. One member says, “Too dated…and they seem to peel off my nails way too easily!” It’s safe to say that the thumbs up are for satin shimmers and mattes in the nail lacquer department.

The lipstick and lipglass shades remind me of M.A.C.’s older Warm & Cozy collection that oozes with nude shades. Take a look:

M.A.C.’s new Mickey Contractor collection pays homage to Bollywood’s esteemed makeup artist, who has served as M.A.C.’s Director of Makeup Artistry for India and transformed the skin of several gorgeous Bollywood women. This collection features color cosmetics as well as Foundation, Concealer, Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder as well as gorgeous eye shadows and lipsticks in eye popping colors and perfect for darker complexions.

Naturally, a collection of this magnitude cannot be covered in one post, so we’re going to spread it out across several doses so you can really see how magical it is.

This extensive collection features lipstick, lip glass, eye shadows, fluidline, Moisturecover Concealers (which are a MUST for dark circles, especially for those who have yellow undertones), Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation, blush, brushes, and Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder.

Whew! I think that’s the list.

Here are a few gems I am loving from this collection. The eye shadow quad that features four colors: two sparkly and two matte. The colors (from top left to bottom right) are Vivah (brown with gold pearl, a lustre); Folie (reddish plum brown, a satin); Jaan (a light neutral with soft gold pearl, a lustre); and Carbon (an intense black matte).

Here I am wearing Vivah on my eyelids with Jaan on the brow bone as well as Fluidline in Siahi (a Deep turquoise blue, a Frost):

If you’re a Fluidline fan, you will love these bright gem-like shades. I also love the Bright green shade called Ivy (a frost):

As a lot of you may know, the Fluidline goes on like velvet across the eyes and really has true staying power. A must for darker skinned MAC fans. These two fluidlines are the only ones in the Mickey Contractor collection, so be sure to stock up!

My next obsession in this line are the Lipsticks. They have such fun Indian-inspired names too: Yash (a deep neutral matte); Mehr (a dirty blue pink matte); Gulabi (a bright fuschia amplified); and Mocha (a peachy yellow-brown in satin).

Here is Gulabi. Ain’t she a beaut? Note, this looks like it’s red, but it’s really a fuschia:

Here I am wearing Gulabi lipstick, and the Eye Shadow Quad with Siahi Fluidline (not that you can really see the Fluidline). And my mascara is MAC’s Plush Lash.

The collection has a marvelous Coral/Dirty Coral and Banana Yellow corrector too, perfect for correcting yellow and pink undertones. Why? You want a pink tone to conceal the shadows under your eyes which typically have a blue quality to them. If you’re really really dark, we suggest using the yellow corrector to correct the dark circles and then apply concealer.

Some of the products we got to play with

The presentation began with a brief introduction to Dior and moved swiftly into each category of make-up.  There were a few products that stole my heart, especially the One Essential: The Ultimate Skin Boosting Serum.  One revitalizes the epidermis, detoxifies the skin, boosts the effectiveness of one’s normal skincare regime and a slew of other things.  I do not know about you but my skin needed a vitamin cocktail and this sounds perfect!

In new news, as of March 2011, the lovely Natalie Portman will be the new face of Miss Dior Cherie.  The commercials were directed by Sofia Coppola and the rationale for using Natalie Portman is to change the look of the “young and fun” Miss Dior Cherie into something sensual and sexy.  Dior never falls short, watching the commercial I could not help but picture myself roaming “les rues de Paris” smelling of blood orange essence, essence of neroli and patchouli (the notes in Miss Dior Cherie).

The presentation came to a close with a showing of Dior.com, just a baby – launched November 8, 2010.  An e-commerce site. Dior.com is highly interactive and answers any possible questions you may have, and it’s a perfect shopping resource for the holidays.

When the presentation came to a close, we were whisked away by Dior make-up artists.  It was extremely weird for me to have my make-up done by someone else since I am a make-up artist, but Aaliyah was a doll and she gave me a muted eye and a bold lip.

Each year seems to be the holiday and renaissance of the bold, red lip (remember Estee Lauder’s red lippie collection from 2009?). This year is no different for the folks at Givenchy. The Vernis Please! comes in three different varieties including a dark blood color (any True Blood fans out here?) and are perfect for both Hallowe’en and Christmas. Nothing says daring like the latest lip colors from Make Up For Ever’s Rouge Artist Intense collection. The intense, richly-pigmented shades of these eleven lipsticks are designed to suit every skin tone, and every hair color (the folks at MUFE have even developed a handy-dandy color wheel to help you identify your perfect shade).

Click on the picture ABOVE or the link here to get the scoop on our freshly-created video by vlogger Nat Neagle. Oh, and here are a few tips and tricks. To get:

* Tangerine Lips: Use a brush to have even, opaque coverage. Go traditional with black liner or try a clashing color like purple or green.

*Fuchsia Lips: Use your finger to apply to give that even but not perfect look and match with a pink blush that has just a hint of shimmer. You can use a matte blush and add a highlighter to your cheekbones if needed.

*Mauve Lips: Apply a dark chocolate shadow on your lipd and a shimmery pink as the highlight. Top lips with a gloss to pull everything together.

*Burgundy Lips: Use your finger or brush to pat on lips so you don’t have a caked on, retro feel (unless that’s what you want). Top with clear gloss. Don’t have too much going on with this lipstick – the lips are the focus so wear a taupe or champagne on the lids.

*To tone down your lips, make sure you have something on your cheeks. Go a bit softer in color just for the slightest hint of color.

Everything about Liberty of London is so British — and yet, so universal. As I mentioned to you before, the packaging and the colors are really what got me in this collection. The packaging is so beyond cute: it’s Anna Sui, Hello Kitty cute. And it’s so hip that it makes me want to scream with joy!

Here, as I continue my MAC Liberty of London journey with you (and what a long, strange journey it promises to be), I’ve swatched two of the lipstick shades I love: Petals & Peacocks; and Blooming Lovely.

This pepto-bismol pink (Petals & Peacocks) really stood out (it looks GREAT on darker skins) and is quite prevalent in many of Liberty’s prints.

Blooming Lovely is a creamy greyed lilac mauve and I simply adore this shade (although, to be honest, I was a little hesitant at first. When I applied just one layer on my lips it looked as though they were ashen). You need at least a few coats of this shade, but it is so deliciously creamy that you could almost eat the lipstick. Thank god that your lips don’t get chapped with these.

Now this will seriously be a very difficult shade for anyone to pull off because it could make you look like you’re running to the Pride Parade – or be uber cool like Rihanna. But anything — and I’m saying ANYTHING rocks with gloss and confidence. Get what I’m saying?
