These are super heavy duty lip glosses, and the finish is different for each of these. The Star collection gives you a sweet, sheer look and a very pretty one –it’s so SPRING. The four new glosses have a shimmer effect and also link to a charity called “Kiss Away Poverty” which receives a dollar from every sale of LipFusion Color Shine (each gloss retails for $29, so they aren’t cheap).

Kim Kardashian will be the face of this new collection, as well as the company’s new Illumifill Line Filling Luminzer which will hit stores this spring. Our dear, curvalicious KK has indeed been a busy bee lately, with the launch of her fragrance and diet supplements.

It’s a lot to keep up with, KK, no pun intended. We haven’t tried the glosses yet, but as soon as we do, we’ll give you fresh print.

We were extremely impressed by the credentials of Josie Maran Cosmetics Plumping Lip Gloss. While most plumping products achieve that bee-stung look by using artificial irritants, always the natural girl Josie chose to use Marine Collagen, which is extracted from sea plants. It didn’t smell particularly ocean-like, however; popping the tube sent a hyper-fruity kool aid scent into the air. If you’re averse to anything too fruity, this might not be the best bet for you. However, we were absolutely pleased with the gloss’ texture, which wasn’t too sticky like many others. Also, the brush applicator is top of the line. Instead of mesh wands that collect gunk around the edges, the applicator is more like a paint brush, gliding along your lips as if they were a canvas.
