Feeling tribal? Then add a touch of Alexandre Herchcovitch to your Fall 2010 wardrobe.
It’s color without compromise, texture with spunk and PUNK. The makeup was done by Philip for MAC Cosmetics, who described the look as a tiny part punk, a tiny part tribal, but mostly beautiful as a 1970′s movie star.

He smudged Pro Pigment in Chocolate Brown on the upper lids, but dotted the lower lash line with Flat Orange and Electric Coral to get a sheer wash of color, as opposed to a stripe. After mixing bright …

Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs are a hot, hip young duo who graduated from the Parson’s School of Design. While they may be relative dilettantes in Fashion Week, their style stems from inspiration of films, photography. In their own words, the Cushnie and Ochs woman is no wallflower!

This season, the backstage beauty showcased a very flowing, loose flowing hair that was more gritty in texture (think elegant and disheveled … a bedhead-inspired mass of strands that still could be paired with elegant cocktail dresses and evening gowns).

The hair was done …

The two-toned lip is not something you’d expect to see in every day life. Unless you’re color blind, a MAC Cosmetics artist, or a member of Cirque du Soleil.
But this was precisely the beauty trompe l’oeil at Lepore’s Fall 2010 collection.
When she powwowed with her the hair and makeup stylists for her Fall 2010 show, Nanette Lepore brought a visual aide: a Renaissance painting. Makky for MAC and Esther Langham for Moroccan Oil let it guide their creative decisions for the show. After creating the now-standard perfect matte canvas of …

The look for Alice & Olivia Fall 2010 was that of a young Parisian in the Spring (ironic, right?). Models were fresh faced and young, with lots of pinks and metallics with shades of smoky dusty rose. Gregory Arlt, Director of Makeup Artistry for MAC Cosmetics, created this refreshing look.
Arlt foresees Fall 2010 trends to include fresh faced looks and a focus on the lips in particular deep red lips. Check out his video on the look:
Master hair stylist Ric Pipino continued the Parisian theme and added a little rock’n’roll …

The Chinese military inspired collection by Monique Lhuillier showcased taut, braided hair backstage, and a red, red matte lip with fiery red shiny nails.
The makeup was done by Val Garland for MAC Cosmetics; the hair by Rudi Lewis for Barex and the nails by CND.

Makeup: Val Garland says, “the look is a very Lolita lip, lined with a red lip pencil, then stained with a crimson red lip pigment and then topped off with Apple Red Blush Powder.” The eyes have virtually no mascara and she applied a lilac Lip …

Think Kate Moss circa now (2010) after a rock and roll evening with grungy, messy hair and a very sexy cat eye. Stylist Bob Recine for TIGI rocked a very moussy, texturized grungy look backstage at Jill Stuart’s Fall 2010 show. The makeup was done by Charlotte Tilbury using Jill Stuart’s own line of cosmetics (aren’t they princess like?). The makeup collection itself limited, but you can see the shimmery eyeshadows and mattifying foundations below:

To get the hair to look as fabulous as it did on the runway, the models wore …

The beauty look for the Andy and Debb Fall 2010 Fashion Week show was sleek, straight hair…almost a “young schoolgirl” full of innocence. The face showed a flawless skin, with dark eyeliner and a smidgen of lip color. It was created by using a liner in the center of the lips and using a technique that smudges the lip liner all over the lips. This creates a good definition without overstaining the lip.
