Review: The Bee’s Knees: Burt’s Bees New Naturally Nourishing Body Lotions

29 October 2010 216 views One Comment

Old is definitely gold, but these newly-reformulated lotions have certainly raised the winter skincare bar.

The new Burt’s Bees Body Lotions have undergone a transformation process, in true Extreme Makeover, Lotion Edition fashion. These clean, natural-looking tubes now contain body lotions that are themselves 99% natural.

The improved formulations come in four versions: Fragrance-free Shea Butter and Vitamin E, Milk & Honey Body Lotion, Aloe & Buttermilk Body Lotion for Sensitive Skin, and Radiance Body Lotion.

Clinically proven to moisturize for until 24 hours, these lotions go on nice and thick — almost like whey protein — but they don’t leave any tacky or greasy residue when applied.

The Milk & Honey Body Lotion is my favorite by a long shot because of its genuinely soothing smell; plus, its share of botanical moisturizers, coconut and grape seed oil, as well as Vitamin E blend without jarring in this gentle body butter. The fragrance-free Shea Butter & Vitamin E Body Lotion is best suited for extremely dry skin.

They are available at a store near you, and online for $8 a tube. Park one on your nightstand your skin will never dehydrate. We think, at this price, they’re truly the Bees Knees!

Tell us, are you a Burt’s Bees fan? What body moisturizer are you most partial to these days?
