Signals – The Anti-Aging Stem Cell Solution & GIVEAWAY

4 September 2009 83 views No Comment

We’ve heard a lot about stem-cell technology, which is supposedly taking the beauty industry by storm, but the idea of applying, well, stem cells to our own face has as much appeal as a root canal. Luckily StemCell Products, a new contender in the field, has found a way around our squeamishness with a product line called Signals.

Signals Stem Cell Day Lotion

The technology is a bit hard to follow, but basically Signals captures the “signals” of adult stem cells in a cream solution, which prompt aging cells to behave like those in 19-year-old skin. There are no actual stem cells in any of the products.

Signals Stem Cell Exfoliant

The three-sku line consists of an anti-aging peptide-based exfoliant; a day lotion to protect and repair the skin; and a super-hydrating night cream to repair and restore the skin’s elasticity. The day lotion and night cream dispensers deliver the precise amount of product without allowing any air to come in contact with the active ingredients, which means there’s less chance that the cream or lotion will become stale, contaminated, or oxydized. We find that the day lotion even helps our makeup go on more smoothly.

Signals Stem Cell Night Cream

The company claims that in two-week clinical trials, the hydration of the subjects’ skin increased by up to 107%. We saw that after two weeks of consistent use, our complextion glowed. There was a noticeable change in the softness and smoothness of our skin, and our fine lines and wrinkles appeared to be diminished.

The three-item kit is $199.95. Each kit should last two months, which translates to about $100 per month. (Postage and handling charges are $9.95 per order but are waived if you sign up for the Auto Ship program.) New customers get a free trial period, during which they can return the products for any reason within 45 days. For more information or to place an order, go to www.stem120.com.

We are giving away a complete kit, valued at $199.95, to a reader (chosen at random) who enters a comment below. Winners will be notified via email. GOOD LUCK!

For a minute there, I thought it was real stemcell technology and was wondering how controversial it would be

Sorry, this sounds freaky. I understand product differentiation but with all the controversy surrounding stem cells, my first thought of course, is WHAT STEM CELLS are they using?!? And using stem cells as an exfoliant?!? You’ve set us straight of course, but I can’t help but wonder if the name of the product could have been reconsidered to decrease the yuck factor while highlighting the “What great stuff stem cells are doing in the world of medicine factor.” “Enhancing the ability of your own stems cells to transport your skin back to a 19 year old” or something like that. Sorry to be critical – the product might actually be really great and I’d give it a try.

Please enter me. I would love the opportunity to win. I have never heard of this brand, but I love beauty and skin care products. And I could really use some hydration products.

First, I don’t know how we haven’t met in person yet, butterfly diary, aka social butterfly, meet, Ascending Butterfly! (I hope you’ll check out my site, http://ascendingbutterfly.blogspot.com)

Second, I’m such a product skeptic, you know I had to take my sweet time visiting the sponsor site myself and checking things out. I have a freaky thing with the number 222, and the first thing I see on the sponsor page is this:

    “22 GENES AFFECTED
One compound renewed the function of 22 genes that were depleted by aging—something never before achieved according to the independent laboratory that tested Signals. The potential implications of these results go well beyond just the skincare industry. These gene expressions will dramatically help to reverse the look and feel of the aging cells of your skin and allow these cells to reflect the youthful cells of a 19 year old.’

Living in the city that never sleeps, that seems to have more traffic than people sometimes my skin gets drained each and every single day by stress, pollution and lifestyle too, I would love to try The Anti-Aging Stem Cell Solution System of Products! I’m on a ‘renewal’ path both internal and external and this system sounds like just the ticket for the external! :-)
