Review, Ingredients: Neutrogena Pore Refining Daily Exfoliating Cleanser, Toner – Replacement
Ask and you shall receive… that should also be one of Neutrogena’s catchy trademark taglines. Beautiful. Beneficial. Neutrogena will always be my favorite. Back by popular consumer demand, Neutrogena has returned two of their Pore Refining products to the mass market: Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser and Toner, including a new member to the team: Pore Refining Daily Cleanser.
All three make up your pore-refining arsenal for clearer, smoother and smaller looking pores. With ingredients such as alpha-hydroxy and beta-hydroxy, this line will unclog pores and exfoliate the skin with ultra-fine microbeads (found in the Exfoliating Cleanser). Pores will eventually shrink in size by sweeping away dirt and oil.
This Exfoliating Cleanser can be used everyday with its gentle microbeads (as seen above). I was surprised at how effective the beads were on my skin, but were extremely gentle at the same time. This soap-free, noncomedogenic exfoliating cleanser does not foam, but your skin does indeed get a thorough cleansing. With continued use, skin will appear more evenly toned and pores will become less visible.
New Pore Refining Daily Cleanser ($7.49)
In one week, my pores shrunk dramatically! I didn’t even use it everyday (maybe every other day) and I could tell that this cleanser made quite the difference. Without over-drying the skin, this cleanser works on contact to smooth overly rough, uneven patches. It foamed up very well, giving my skin a great cleansing. This cleanser will be great to use once the summer hits and my face gets all greasy and oily.
Pore Refining Toner ($6.49)
This oil-free toner is back! No skin regimen is complete without a great toner to swipe away dead skin — and that clean smell is wonderful as well. The added benefit with this toner is the fact that it also shrinks those pores!
The alpha and beta hydroxy formula is found throughout all three of these products, so, when used together, this three-step regimen will have you pore-free! I would probably switch every other day, once with the cleanser and once with the exfoliating one, if you want to keep all three working at the same time.
All in all, Neutrogena has brought back some old favorites among its fans, with the addition of a great cleanser that will without a doubt be the next coveted item. Try this Pore Refining line at your local drugstore and bid farewell to those big ol’ pores!
