GIVEAWAY: L’Oreal Honors Women of Worth in 5th Annual Gala
There are companies who talk the talk, but L’Oreal truly walks the walk when it comes to giving back to the community. Which is why we love them.
The 5th Annual Women of Worth gala was held at the Hearst Building on Thursday, December 9th, and honored ten extraordinary women from the ages of 12 to 90 who are giving back to the community by performing “everyday miracles.” There was not a dry eye in sight as celebrity presenters (including Kerry Washington, Trisha Yearwood and Viola Davis) gave checks to all the honorees and presented the finalist with her special award.
Remember, how you all helped vote for the winner, earlier?
We watched a short video about each participant, and her cause. Each honoree’s dedication, persistence and commitment is an inspiration to all women out there who want to give back to the community: they clearly show that even the tiniest bit of help makes a DIFFERENCE.
We also know, that in addition to the $5,000 check from L’Oreal, these ladies could use some donations to their charity too, so please donate if you are blessed:

As a token of appreciation for all these women, and for BeautyStat.com readers (whom we also like to fondly think of as Women of Worth themselves), we are giving away a complete set of “Youth Code” products (including Serum, Day/Night Creams and Undereye creams) to one lucky winner. Simply leave a comment below to tell us which of these causes you can most relate to.
And as always, we encourage you to give to the charity of your choice if you are able.

I like the Back the pack cause, just because I’ve been a poor college student before and it can really suck at times. lol.
love it.
What a treat! We were talking about skin-care this morning! I MOST definitely relate to the Autism Society of Colorado Charity.. my 7 yr. old son, Hayden is Autistic.. & he is awesome!
Thanks, Charu! Good Luck Ladies & Merry Christmas, everyone!
This is SO fantastic!
I have been using Loreal since i have been 18 years old and would not try anything else. I always give when i can because it can always be used. This is a rough year for me and find myself not being able to so. Great job Ladies Happy Holidays
Adopt a library! Literacy rates in our country are alarming and teens can hardly write an essay. Book reading seems to be obsolete. Scary!
It is so sad in this day and time we have to keep our children from sex exploitation. I commend Lisa on the dauntless task. And thank her for her great works.
I can most relate to Cheerful Givers, I always give a birthday gift when I know its a childs birthday because I remember what it feels like to not have one because it couldnt be afforded. Please enter me into the coontest also.
Helping animals and spreading the word of not slaughtering them and eating them is important to me. I would love to be a winner:).
It’s company’s like loreal that deserves praise for recognizing amazing women in the community without such prestigious brands women work would go unnoticed like in the olden days. Love it and live the brand
Awesome!! Work it WOMEN!!
Cheerful givers, because being a single mother myself I know how hard it can be at times to do the things you want to for Christmas and Birthdays. The feeling inside when you can’t do for your kids is long lasting, it doesn’t just go away, the memory stays with you. I have taken my pocket money, gas money, bill money at times to buy school lunch for a kid who didn’t have the money to pay for it. When asked why I always answer that I hope someone would do the same for my own kids.
Living waters for girls, because I have a daughter of my own. I have taken my pocket money, gas money, bill money at times to buy school lunch for a kid who didn’t have the money to pay for it. When asked why I always answer that I hope someone would.
I dont know if I could relate to it really, but I find the Living Water for Girls organization close to my heart, just because I have been to countries that have water cleaning problems.
I liked all of the causes.
All of the causes are wonderful but I think “Back The Pack” is a wonderful idea!
Cheerful Givers because EVERY child deserves to know they are special on their birthday and every parent deserves the chance to show their child they care by being able to recognize their birthday with a gift.
