BeautyStat.com Featured In The New York Times – The Benefits Of Time-Release Skincare Products

Guess which publication BeautyStat has been featured in this month? The New York Times! Our very own Ron Robinson was interviewed in regards to the newspaper’s article, ‘Marketing Time in a Bottle Pays Off,’ about time-release skincare and the benefits of its continued use over a long period of time. Ron had this to say about the certain time-release items out there:
“Your skin needs four to eight weeks to undergo any significant change and to evaluate if something is beneficial,” said Ron Robinson, an independent chemist in Manhattan who specializes in the technology of cosmetic ingredients. He is also the founder and chief executive of BeautyStat.com, a Web site offering reviews of new products. “It’s the reapplication and the reapplication week after week where you’re going to see true, cumulative benefits,” he said.
The labs where cosmetics are tested are becoming pressure cookers, Mr. Robinson added.
“Companies now test at shorter intervals,” he said. “Rather than have clinicals that track results over four months, they’re opting for one month, or one week. Everything has become a competition. And right now, that competition is time.”
Way to go, Ron! Check out the entire article here! And, according to the online article: A version of this article appeared in print on August 9, 2012, on page E3 of the New York edition with the headline: Marketing Time in a Bottle Pays Off.
