Review, Photos, Swatches: L’Oréal Paris Introduces 6 New Shades — Infallible Eye Shadow 24 HR Colors Coming July 2012
I had always wanted to try these, so I was happy to sample the new colors: Liquid Diamond, Smoldering Plum, Endless Sea and Glistening Garnet (swatched below in that order). Available for $7.95 will also be Golden Emerald and Bottomless Java (not swatched). These six new shades will hit shelves this coming July. I liked the color, wearability, longevity and texture of the product. My eyes sparkled while wearing Liquid Diamond — and the long-wearing formula lasted until the night when I chose to remove my makeup! Now that is practicality.
I appreciate makeup that is affordable and offers great pigments. The L’Oréal Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow collection does just this; I must add that a little goes a long way, too — I put just a dab of color on and was able to use it on both eyes.
These six shades will be added to the twelve already on the retail marketplace and please note that L’Oréal was the first to debut the twenty-four hour formula in the mass marketplace. They are water-proof, crease resistant and fade resistant. There are 10 pearl and 2 matte textures; the full range offers on-trend hues from blues to purples, to greens and golds (my favorite color of the moment). There is certainly a velvety-smooth texture to them and they are super-easy to apply — as I used my fingers and not a brush to get the above look.
Dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested, these products are safe for sensitive eyes as well as contact lens wearers. These new shades will be available at mass food and drug retailers nationwide beginning July 2012. The pre-existing collection has been available since January 2012.
What color will you pick up come July?
