Review, Photos, Swatches: Butter London Introduces Matching ‘Lippy’ Lipglosses And Nail Polish Sets
When I first saw the Butter London nail polishes and LIPPYs, I thought to myself, SPRING HAS SPRUNG! I had been dying to try the Butter Nail Polishes, since they are all over the place from the backstage of fashion shows to magazines and salons. Then, to my surprise, I see the Lippys! Lip gloss is definitely one of my must-haves in my makeup bag. This season the once outdated, matchy-matchy look is now HOT, HOT, HOT!
First, I tried all of the nail polishes, as I could not decide which one to put on first. Two coats is definitely all you need. The wear ability is amazing; it lasted on my natural nails for a full week! That’s a first for me. The shades are gorgeous, from a Mad Men-type shade of red to a cool, taupe beige. I had a color for every outfit and every occasion. This polish is a splurge at $14.00 each, but it wore so well it’s priceless.

Next I tried the LIPPY Lipgloss, retailing for $17.00 each. The term ‘lippy’ I found out is a British term for someone who makes cheeky remarks: these glosses were made for me. Each LIPPY corresponds to a Butter nail polish already in the lineup. It has a nice amount of gloss and a sponge tip applicator for easy and precise application. They do not contain parabens, petroleum, phthalates or sulfates. The fuchsia and red shades are full coverage, and wear really well. The pink, coral and taupe shades are slightly more sheer but still wear nicely. Overall, Butter London has done a great job on the texture and packaging. I highly recommend Butter products.
