When it comes to beauty tools, you usually stick with what works (I know I do). I have used the same eyelash curler and tweezer for over two years now… never really venturing out into the beauty tool world. If it works, why fix it? Right?

I was sent some grooming tools to try out from the skincare, haircare and tool brand b•lēve, and I have to say that I was truly impressed. I’m a b•lēve-er!

b•lēve tools are made of high-performance ingredients, easy-to-use and free of all animal products. The first bag I just had to rip open right away was the b•lēve b-captivating Eyelash Curler ($5.99), which comes with two spare curling pads.

I’ll admit, I was a little apprehensive at first due to the black coloring of the curler — I have dark lashes and thought it was going to be hard to see my lashes against the black metal. I pinched my lashes once, and figured out that I had to slide my lashes in slowly since the clamp didn’t open that wide enough.

If you have light-colored lashes, this curler is ideal since your lashes will be an obvious contrast against the black contoured metal design. I have always used a silver eyelash curler, so I needed to get used to this black one.

I also found that the curler didn’t open that widely — I found myself positioning the curler to be able to latch on to all my lashes. But, once I clamped down and opened, my lashes were brilliantly curled — I couldn’t wait to put on my mascara!

The curl stayed too, not like most curlers that usually make your lashes fall limp even before your first swipe of mascara. Its flat edge and curved bar design spreads lashes across the eyelid for the perfect curl.

The b•lēve b-complete 4-Piece Brow Rescue Kit ($10.99) contains four items: slant tip tweezer, mini slant tip tweezer, eyebrow & lash groomer and mirror. This is your standard brow kit. I really liked how sharp the tweezers were, as they gripped each brow right from its root.

I found the brush side of the groomer to be a little hard and stiff. I do love a soft brush to blend in any harsh lines of eyebrow color from powder or a pencil, but this one was just too coarse for me.

The mini kit is cute with a well-sized mirror and clear plastic case to hold all of your tools. It’s also small enough to fit in your makeup bag for last-minute touch-ups.

A glass nail file?! Sounds expensive. But the b•lēve b-shaped Glass Nail File ($9.99) won’t break the bank! This glass nail file is long-lasting, etched in hardened glass and is non-eroding — not causing any damage when shaping even the most fragile nails.

The brand suggests washing your glass file in warm, soapy water and letting it air-dry. It is so durable it is able to withstand sterilization in heat or UV light. It comes in a plastic case so you won’t damage the glass if you decide to take it with you everywhere.

It has some weight to it, and, I have to say, I felt like a proper nailaholic using this glass file — it didn’t cause any pulling of my nail or rough edges, and it gradually filed each nail down. If you take care of your nails religiously, using the latest and greatest cuticle oil and such, then you should definitely think about investing in a glass nail file like this one.b-

Wow! They look like Great tools! The eyelash curler looks amazing, but If I had to choose I would have to go with the tweezer as mine just broke and I need a new one ASAP :)
