Review, After Photos, Swatches: Per-fékt Beauty Lip And Lash Perfection Gel
Having reviewed Per-fékt Beauty before, and getting to meet the lovely founder, Richard Andersen, I expected the new Lip Perfection Gel ($24.00) and Lash Perfection Gel ($28.50) to be, well, perfect! And indeed they are!
Top to Bottom: Sunset and Hollywood
The modern look to this line — and the way the Lip Perfection Gel comes out of their flower-like logo — was fun to look at and very easy-to-apply. Richard says “Lip brushes are a thing of the past. The flower power tip applicator provides incredible precision for a strong lip in a soft way.” The six new shades, named after L.A.’s most famous streets are: Fountain, which is a clear with no color gel; Vine, which is a sheer burgundy wine gel; Hollywood (sampled) which is a full- powered starlet red gel; Melrose, which is a sheer, discreet plum gel; Paramount, which is a sheer, cool pink gel and Sunset (sampled), which is a sheer, natural apricot gel. All are available at Sephora, Henri Bendel, Fred Segal (Santa Monica), Apothia Fred Segal (Melrose), www.perfektbeauty.com and QVC this summer. Internationally at Harvey Nichols in the U.K carries the brand as well as Sephora in Canada.
The Lash Perfection Gel is available in one universal shade, Flash, and lengthens and appeared to add volume to my lashes. This was created with an advanced technology formula that includes ingredients such as olive-derived ester for a polished look; marine plant glycogen to perform as a natural lash extender which also accelerate fiber growth and strengthen lashes and ceramides to help dramatically lengthen, define and revitalize lashes among other ingredients. This formula is fragrance-, talc-, oil-, sulfate-, propylene glycol, GMO, phthalate, water and paraben-free, and is transfer-, water- and sweat-resistant for all-day wear. That is a quality I admire as some other products leave mascara either on my bottom lids or at the crease of my upper lids.
I loved Sunset, but am looking forward to wearing Hollywood… Which one do you want to try?
