(Preview) MAC Launches Glamglass Collection
We’ve seen Dazzleglass, Lipglass, and now, Glamglass.
As the name implies, this is a gloss that’s futuristic and revolutionary, with a different type of brush applicator. Strictly word of mouth marketing, Glamglass is M.A.C.’s latest launch that hits stores July 28th.
Lips speak louder than words, and that’s the gist of M.A.C.’s campaign for this new, high-wattage line that features both lip pencils and super-silky glosses. The glosses have an innovative new brush applicator that imparts vividly alluring shine while leaving the lips light yet moisturized. It’s the lip trifecta.
There are eight Lip Pencil shade extensions and eleven shades of Glamglass. From everything that I’ve seen, these glosses are going to be revolutionary. I’m a gloss freak myself and I have been dying to get my hands on all the shades ever since 2010-2011 became “the year of the lip” (seriously, we can’t tell you how many lip products we’ve reviewed, loved and approved).
A girl can do no wrong with these Lip Pencils ($13 each):
What Comes Naturally: Pale peachy beige
Hip ‘n’ Happy: Dirty blue pink
Have to Have It: Soft warm beige
Just Wonderful: Dirty mauve
Entertain Me: Clearly orange
Lasting Sensation: Bright coral
Embrace Me Vivid: pinkish fuchsia
Just My Type: Intense warm
& of course, to be paired with the genius names and colors of the Glamglass collection ($14.50 each):
Casual Air Frosted pale pink
It’s a Wow Mid-tone blue-pink (“rose pink”)
Check This Out Coral with ‘transforming’ yellow-pink pearl
Rich & Witty Neutral dirty pinked beige
Comfort & Joy Mid-tone frosted dirty mauve
Famously Fab! Purple-lavender, slightly pearled
Tour de Fabulous Clean/bright yellow pink with pearl
Style-Packed Bright, vivid fuchsia
Knockout Red with pearl
Rich Bounty Deep red-brown with pearl
Real Posh Deep berry, slightly.
I have to say, it will be a real toss up this year choosing which lipgloss to toss into my purse: the L’Oreal Infallible Rouge, the CoverGirl Lipperfection or M.A.C.’s Glamglass. All of them are completely different (I’d use the Glamglass for really high impact, high wattage, almost red carpet shine– think the “Lady Gaga” effect) and the rest for office to evening.
Boy, this is a scorcher of a collection. We expect lines the evening of July 27th.
