How much do I love the Illamasqua line of products? They are innovative in their color choices and options, as well as their unbelievably creative campaigns. I have reviewed several palettes and a friend has recently become their Brand Ambassador for Sephora, so I certainly hope to learn even more! Illamasqua‘s Limited Edition Rubber Finish Nail Varnishes consist of six new bright colors that were inspired by the color-coded specialties of the Dominatrix Rubber Boot Girls from Berlin, Germany in the 1920s. They are exclusive to the US and are ONLY available for a limited time at Sephora.com for $14.00 each.
The new Rubber Finish Nail Varnish colors include:
Nuture – candy apple green
Optimist – warm yellow (swatched below)
Aorta – scarlet red (swatched above)
Devotee – candy pink
Serenity - bright turquoise
Prosperity - rich purple
These new Limited Edition Rubber Finish Nail Varnishes provide fast, buildable coverage and have an alternative, matte rubber-like finish to them. Hard-wearing and chip resistant, they contain the finest high-grade color suspension materials for a long-wearing finish.
For application, first apply one coat of Illamasqua‘s Nail Base Coat ($12.00). Then, using the superfine brush provided, create color-intense impact by applying two coats of your nail varnish. Allow two minutes to dry for the perfect rubber-like finish! No top coat is required. Artist’s Tip: Try applying a different color on each nail! I’m a nude lips kinda gal, maybe some shiny lip gloss, but that’s about it.
I would love this. My Daughter in law loves to sit and talk while decorating my nails. I had all boys so this bonding time is priceless. The Optimist yellow would be so bright and cheery. Aorta scarlet red is so killer. Then Nuture candy apple green is so crisp. I would wear them all.

I think Optimist is my favorite the Candy Apple green is a close second on lips something soft and neutral like Smashbox Illume for a soft shimmer that won’t outshine the nails which are the focal point
Oh I like that Optimist, then Serenity, and lastly Prosperity. I like pops of color especially for fall and winter when the weather is so yucky. I really like the finish. It looks very interesting for someone like me that is very tactile by nature. I think I would pair any of the colors I mentioned with my Smashbox True Color lip gloss in Fame. It’s a gorgeous pink color that I think would compliment any of the nail colors.
My little girl and I are always looking for new colors to add to our collection. These would be a great addition to our nail polish rack. =]

I would definitely try Nuture (candy apple green), Prosperity (rich purple), and Devotee (candy pink). They are all so very pretty but these would be my first choice. I like the finish of these nail lacquers and I believe this finish will make it almost chip resistant.
Keeping with the Illamasqua brand I’d love to try Growl (matte eggplant) lipstick – this color is definitely in this season and I adore mattes.

I love “Aorta” the stunning scarlet red color.
The lip I’d pair with this nail polish is “Box” from Illamasqua, it’s a matte deep scarlet red. Gorgeous duo.
Prosperity, Aorta, and Devotee look rich and pretty. I would wear them with a tinted balm, like Burts Bees or Maybelline Baby Lips.

As for lipsticks to go with it? Lime Crime cosmetics Poisonberry and Mint To Be becuase they are very opaque with a similar look and match the nail colors/texture perfectly.

This polish line is amazing!!!! I literally think that these polishes would match the sexy stilettos in my closet! I’ve never tried Illmasqua before, but the colors look very bright, put a little bit of happy in the day.
My favorite colors are Aorta, Prosperity, and Devotee – I like the red variation and would wear with a matte, dark red lipstick like the YSL Volupte or a Revlon Berry.
The Serenity turquoise looks really good on your skintone! Will definitely have to try more of their colors
