Creamy, ultra-thin pigments that are packed with power and elegant packaging sums up the new Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colors from Chanel.
Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour $32.50 was created to be the next generation of the classic lipstick. The new formulation has special hydrating agents and antioxidants that are rich in green tea and sappan wood, leaving lips supple and protected for lasting comfort; tea butter was also added to endure the colors longevity. Sixteen new shades were introduced this month and range from a delicate beige to a black-red.

Sampled below are two shades: one from the pink family, Secrète, and one from the coral family, Enjoulee. The sixteen shades were divided into pinks (Séduisante -- soft pink; Secrète — blue soft pink; Exaltée — intense fuschia and Extatique — blue-intense pink), reds (Incandescente — fire red; Coromandel — orange red; Pirate — blue red; Palpitante — raspberry red; Passion — blue-intense red and Inimitable –intense-pearl red), corals (Enjouée — pink coral and Excentrique — intense apricot) and beige/browns (Gracile –pink beige; Pimpante- soft peach, Déterminée -- violine brown and Rouge Noir — black red).
What I found very appealing was the packaging as well. The outer case is an elegant black column that opens with a click to reveal the lipstick encased within. I believe it’s my marketing background that attracts me to packaging of items, and this caught my eye as it’s very sleek and modern-looking. To me, everything Chanel creates, whether it be clothing, fragrances, beauty, etc. is classic and refined.
Yes, they are some really fun, bold colors and patterns within the clothing line, yet Chanel to me is always considered to be timeless. I have wanted the quilted Chanel bag for ten years now as I always felt it is a signature piece that would always add something special to my daily wardrobe. That is also how I feel about the beauty products. Their Lip Gloss ($29.50) in #108 Constellation has been a favorite of mine for years, and I have not wavered from the color as it always looks good on me. I know I can’t afford a lot of products that Chanel makes but a great-looking lipstick can certainly fit into anyone’s lifestyle. Although I’m very fair skinned, red hair and green eyes, I love red lipstick. When you walk into a room wearing a bold but beautiful red lipstick, it lets people know you are confident and have wonderful self esteem because the color screams “look at me”.It tells people that you feel comfortable in your own skin and you don’t care what others think of you because you feel good about yourself. You certainly can’t be a wall flower to wear this color because you will stand out in a crowd. But since this color red is so beautiful and classy, you can’t help but feel beautiful and self empowered when wearing it. I love the fact that red lips are back and that the whole nude look is going away, which is where I hope is stays for a long time.

I wear a red lip everyday, because I can. I will admit, I custom blend it, it’s a mixture of 3 different shades and a particular shade of gloss. I’ve spent a lifetime trying to find one red I could wear straight from the tube and not feel the need to do my own ‘alchemy’ on it!

The most fabolus thing in the world has been done the blue base! I am so happy you have done the blues in the reds that is the best thing anyone in the makeup business has ever done for lipstick! the blue base lets us women wear the red with any color we want, pink, blue, black, fusia, hot pink, and even burgandy because the blue base makes it match the other color. This also works to preven the brassy tint of the orangey red to creep through, this has been such a problem with many red lipsticks I have found. I fell in love with Orley nail polish over 15 years ago because they used the blue base in their red crimson nail polish besides the crushed pearls. The read was wonderful to wear. I cant wait till the lipsticks are in the stores, everyone with any skin tone can wear the blue bases and still look H…O…T..!

I know for a fact that this Chanel super creamy is excellent, because on Sunday (yesterday) I went to Macy’s and tried on the lipstick and it is the best I have tried thus far. I have a medical problem called Sjoens Syndrome which is a mixe
d connective tissue disease that causes dryness on the lips, around the lips, cuticles of nails and so on and so on. I have medication for it but I have had it for quite sometime but for some odd reason it is much worse since I have been so ill with other things it was over-looked because I had more pertinent things going on which were much more critical. Also, because I have lost so much more weight since last year it is becoming critical. Now, that I explained my problem with lipcolors it was unbelieveable I was able to wear Chanel’s new Allure Luminous Intense lip color without being so dry around the lips. The only trouble was the price, because Chanel sells awesome products it costs about 10 – 15 dollars then others I have tried and thrown out. I tried on one of these beautiful shades and absolutely fell iove with it but need this lipcolor very much or I am going to become one pale-lipped person.
