BeautyStat’s First EVER Makeup Contest: Calling all Beauty Junkies

Calling all makeup junkies, creative visionaries, lipstick queens and wallflowers alike.

Yes, YOU.

We know how much you love to thumb through magazines, play with eye shadow, bling your lashes and toss off beauty vernacular like “Latisse” and “Lab Shine” as they were colloquial.

We know you’re out there!

We are introducing BeautyStat’s first ever Makeup Contest, and we want to see your photos. They don’t have to be studio shots or pinups (although we’re not discouraging these). You can take photos from your iPhone or Droid, or Canon ELF. All we want is to see how you use your makeup.

Here are some examples to inspire you (remember, there is no right or wrong):

Okay, fine, there’s a theme, and it’s called the New Year Look. We’ve intentionally cast a wide net so you can interpret the theme however you’d like. Does your New Year Look involve a lot of lashes? Red lip? We want to know what it means to you.

Here’s how the process will work.

Step One: Take a picture of yourself wearing specific products that are near and dear to you. Sure, being creative helps!

Step Two: Send us the picture to Contest@beautystat.com along with the names of the products/ shades you’re wearing.

Step Three (this one’s for us): We will choose the top 10 finalists and post them in an Editorial.

Step Four: You VOTE for your favorite look.

Step Five: The winner gets a lovely set of delicious makeup surprises in a beautifully-wrapped chic Dior box, including a full-size Dior Cherie perfume ($200 value). The winner will also receive a $25 Gift Card.

The contest will run until the end of January. All submissions must be received by January 31st, 2011.

    Jeannie, you can do the makeup on someone else if you’re camera shy. The idea is to inspire joy and creativity in using makeup. Just be clear when you submit it please and let us know the makeup artist/model’s name. Thank you!
