Review, Before/After Photos: MATRIX Total Results Amplify Hairspray – Long-Lasting Volume And Lift
Growing up, I was a huge fan of hairspray. I was a teenager in the 80’s, and the bigger your hair was the more popular you were. I had not used hairspray in a while, so I was interested to see what MATRIX had to offer.
MATRIX Total Results Amplify Hairspray was in a very large, 11oz can and retailed for just $15.00. The hairspray promises to hold your hair for twenty-four hours, while keeping the lift, volume and body. I sprayed my hair thoroughly with it and set out to my day at work. It sprayed easily and I covered my whole head in seconds. The true test would be to see how long my hair would hold.
The thing I really like about the spray is that it was not sticky and did not leave my hair feeling stiff. My hair actually still had a soft, natural feel. I also did not mind the smell — I remembered most hairsprays as smelling terribly unpleasant but MATRIX‘s scent was not bad at all.

My hair did not flop completely, but at the end of the day it did not look exactly the same. It still looked nice, but the body and volume definitely was not as good as it was when I set out in the morning. As a test, I actually tried it on my friend’s fourteen-year-old daughter and her hair fared better than mine: she had curled her hair and the curls stayed nice throughout the day.
This hairspray is geared towards women with fine, limp hair and my hair is thick with usually pretty good body. I definitely recommend giving it a go because different products definitely work in different ways for different hair types.
