Review, Before/After Photos: Goody QuickStyle Half Round Styling Hair Brush – Removes 30% Water To Dry Faster
I have absolutely no patience when it comes to drying my hair! I use up most of it just working out my knots, so when it is time to blow-dry I usually just manically whip my hair back and forth (just whip it!) on high speed and heat.
That is probably not the best thing for my hair. So, I was really excited to try the new brushes from the Goody QuickStyle line. These new fast-styling brushes allow your hair to go from soaking wet to fabulously dry by removing water 30% faster than with just an ordinary brush.
According to Goody, 70% of women regularly dry their hair and continue on with at least one heat styling process. That means, if you are going to use anything then is this brush for you. I have to admit, I was skeptical. I have no hair styling skills whatsoever, yet my hair is very long and needs loads of TLC. Once I got out of the shower, I grabbed my Goody QuickStyle Half-Round Styling Brush ($11.99) and started to brush my hair with it as I followed my strokes with the hairdryer in the other hand.
Between the bristles is this towel-like microfiber material that soaks up all the water. The brush detangles too, offering smooth, luxurious blow-outs. I was about five minutes in, beginning from the ends and working my way up.
I couldn’t believe how fast my ends dried! I usually just concentrate on my roots to get loads of volume, leaving my ends wet and dampening my pajamas when I sleep. But, this time, they were completely dry! I then worked on my bangs, which have a natural wave/cowlick to them and result in a There’s-Something-About-Mary-hair-trauma-effect once dried.
I usually wash my hair at night and make sure to sleep on my bangs, so by the morning they are flat and not so all-over-the-place. But, with this brush, I can go right from the shower, blow-dry and go about my day without having to worry about straightening any unruly flips. I was really impressed with the results!
The best way to keep your brush in tip-top shape is to run some hot air over the bristles once you are done. Some of the microfibers might flatten, but running the bristles through with a wide-tooth comb helps them spring back to life. This brush is definitely something to talk about and try for yourself.
