Review, After Photos: MATRIX Total Results Curl Boucles – Shampoo, Conditioner, Contouring Lotion and Moisture Cure 2-Phase Treatment
Hello, dolls! Here with yet another curl review as your BeautyStat “Curl Gurl”! This particular review was long overdue. MATRIX products recently launched a curl line (remember, textured hair is in) with anti-frizz Nutri-Curl technology.
MATRIX products are available for sale in professional salons only, but you can also buy them on Amazon.com. This line is great for color-treated hair. NOTE: my hair isn’t color-treated, yet the creamy shampoo formula feels amazing! After using the Curl Boucles Shampoo ($7.95) and Curl Boucles Conditioner ($13.99) my hair felt very touchable, soft and manageable.
Once I moved onto the conditioner, my hair was thoroughly quenched, but didn’t detangle as easy, so I left in a bit of conditioner as a leave-in. After washing my hair, I squeezed (never use a turban-style towel on curls, you simply “squeeze” out excess water to prevent frizz) I sprayed my hair with the Matrix Total Results Moisture Moist Cure 2-Phase Treatment ($16.00) — two shades of blue which you must shake in order to mix the two solutions.
I loved this, as it detangled, smoothed the cuticle and gave my mane amazing shine! The Total Results Curl Contouring Lotion ($14.90) certainly defrizzed my hair, giving me bouncy and defined curls. Since this is a lotion and not a gel, the hold wasn’t too strong, which meant I couldn’t tousle my hair or run my fingers through it like I tend to do – as it WILL FRIZZ.
I don’t have a “before” picture, but here is what my curls look like the day I used MATRIX Total Results Curl Boucles. Keep in mind that my curls will either frizz or droop when a product doesn’t deliver. I think the curls look great!
