Roses are such a beautiful expression of affection… chocolates are good, and I definitely appreciate them, but roses are something I can make last. I can care for them and have them stay alive a long time, and when they start to die I can dry them and make sweet-smelling potpourri or keep on in an album… my fiancee and I have a book with three so far for every year.

with the choice of roses or chocolates, I would select the roses. Diabetes makes the chocolates hard to work with. We are continuing to celebrate our love with a valentine banquet on Sunday and then he will be working on Tues, another show of his amazing love for me. We celebrate our love every day. It is such a blessing to be married to my fantabulous husband.

I love roses on Valentine’s Day. I have a basket with petals I’ve saved from roses my husband has given me over all the Valentine’s we’ve had together. My kids look at the basket and say “Daddy must really love you”!
