Cindy Barshop: Completely Bare Expert on Vajazzling, Hair Removal, and the Jersey Shore

I’m sure you’ve heard of the term vajazzling. Right? It’s a specific procedure coined by the famous Cindy Barshop who is a hair removal expert, and someone who’s pretty much seen it all **down there**.
We gals all have hairy situations, right? I mean, who goes to the beach thinking that her Central Park is all perfect and perky? And we know how hairy it can be for a gal to brave it to a salon to get a Bikini Wax. So we chatted up Cindy Barshop, founder of the famous …

Cardio Sculpt with LA’s Hottest Trainer: Stephanie Vitorino’s Body Target 60

Stephanie Vitorino kicked my butt. Okay, she didn’t literally beat me. But she did make me want to pass out on the couch and never do squats again. I tried out Stephanie Vitorino’s Body Target 60 DVD with no set expectations. Was it going to be as lame as Kim Kardashian’s workout video, or cheesy like Carmen Electra’s stripper-aerobics tape circa 2002? Either way, I could tell from the DVD cover that you could freeze ice on Stephanie’s abs, so I decided to give it a shot.

Stephanie’s workout is a …

Three Homemade Goodies: Organic Products We Love (& Ones We Don’t)

Madonna once said, “Never forget to dream.” I often dream of a world of natural, organic cosmetics. A world where beauty is no longer harmful to the body or the environment. Being that I am a hands on kind of gal, I decided to try to make this dream of natural, organic products a reality. I tried my hand at three do-it-yourself, beauty products, and give you a clear verdict.
Homemade Body Scrub

I love a good, full body exfoliation. Yet, no matter what brand I buy …

Curves in All the Right Places: Model Crystal Renn Succumbs to Industry Pressure

From plus-sized beauty to “heroin chic,” a recent article in the New York Post about model Crystal Renn exposes the modeling industries pressures to stay thin.

Highly regarded as one of the most successful plus-sized models, friends and fans alike have come forward with their concern for Renn and her recent rapid weight loss. The speculation began after Renn walked the runway for Chanel in St. Tropez back in May where she looked two sizes smaller than she claims to be, a size 10. Her agency, Ford Models, also …

The Body Shop Launches Deo-Dry Deodorant with Cheryl Burke

You’ve got to trust a dancer when she talks about her deodorant. Cheryl Burke from Dancing with the Stars uses the Body Shop’s new DeoDry Dry-Effect Deodorant to banish white marks while stunning America with her talent.

On a more modest level, when cuddling with the actor playing my beau in a low-budget play, I use it to keep from getting white streaks on the best tuxedo no money can buy.

The new DeoDry formula replaces aluminum salts with volcanic ash to absorb wetness and essential oils to produce three different …

The Organic Freedom to Choose

The Organic Freedom to Choose

July 4, 1776. It was the day our gorgeous land became the United States of America. Fast-forward 234 years and still we celebrate our freedom. We gather with friends and family, grab a tasty bevy, and celebrate life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in all things pretty.
This year, I can’t help but stand proud to have the freedom of choice. Off the top of my head, I love that I have the freedom to choose what to wear, what healthy treats …

What’s in a Label? Whole Foods Redefines “Organic”

Did you ever buy a beauty product and later realize that you didn’t get what you paid for? It happened to me just the other day. I was in the shower and when I went to grab my new “organic” shower gel I discovered that what I thought was organic was actually missing the United States Department of Agriculture National Organic Program seal. Talk about an uncertified letdown!
Well, starting June 1, 2011, that won’t happen at any Whole Foods Market in the U.S. That’s right, the country’s first national certified …
