Review, Before/After Photos, Swatches: St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Spray, One Night Only Instant Glow Body Lotion and Skin Illuminator
I’m always up for a challenge to try to tan my pasty Irish skin. I have tried St. Tropez products in the past, and have not used it for years. I stopped tanning, however, I was excited to give it a try when I received a goody box from St. Tropez.
First, I wanted to try the Self Tan Bronzing Spray ($35.00). My number one complaint always is that I can’t reach my back. Well kids… problem solved! This spray has a 360-degree angle! So, you can get every crease, your back and crevice on your body. The mist is superfine, and has a pleasant scent. This is due to the aroma-guard in the spray. No more icky tanning product smell!
Also, this product doesn’t contain any parabens, sulfates, phthlates, GMOs or triclosan. I used this product all over my body. This product is AMAZING! St. Tropez really knows their tanning stuff! That is for sure. The only thing I wish I had was the buffer mitt (which is sold separately), so I could buff my ankles and such. But, overall, the color was great. My family even noticed, ‘Where have you been?’ they asked!
I did have to use the tanning spray for about two days consecutively to get the color I wanted, but it was worth it. I am now on day four and the color still looks great.
Saturday night I went out and wanted to add a little glam to my look. So, I decided to use the Skin Illuminator in Gold (22.50). This product is so pretty. I added it to my collarbone and my cheeks — it looked like I was fully drenched in a candlelight glow. You can also use this product on legs or anywhere you want some sheen. It comes out as a white cream but when rubbed down it melts into a gorgeous golden sheen.
Before I took the tanning plunge
Last but not least is the One Night Only Instant Glow Body Lotion ($18.00). This was a nice additional product. Just be careful when applying it, as it can stain your hands. It comes out as a gorgeous bronze sheen. If you are pale, you will get some color, however, it won’t be a dramatic difference. If you want a really rich, deep color, I would recommend using over your spray tan. It will give you a Cher in the 70′s type color! Really gorgeous! This product also has a nice scent. Another good point about this product is that it’s transfer-resistant.
So, I highly recommend St. Tropez tanning products! If it can make a light, Irish gal like me bronzed and beautiful… it can do it for you, too!!
So, tell us… Are you going to take the bronzing plunge this summer?
